Now that my Toyota care/oil change every 5000mi/tire rotation/ etc has expired I will be doing the maint. For 30k I've done everything except the plugs. The book says change 'em at 30k. I was going to get them but the guy a O'Reillys's said his book showed the platinum (Iridium?) as an OEM therefore it would go longer. So my question: does my truck have just stock plugs or the platinum ones? The truck as a 2012 V-6 purchased in Kansas. If they are stock then I will replace. NGK? ND? Thanks

Just follow the manual which calls for them every 30k. I wouldn't listen to maintenance advice from anyone at oreily.

OP Let me know which ones you choose. I am curious as I am about to change mine and want to know what the best OEM compatibles are.

I upgraded to the Iridium Denso on mine. I am going to go back to stock when I can. I have noticed pinging with these new plugs. The engine feels more responsive but I am not comfortable with the pinging.

I will change them. I take it the originals probably have have the dual side electrodes. On my 2001 Toyota made a point to install plugs with the dual electrodes.

As a side note in 2012 I posted pictures of the hidden winch mount with the Warn I installed on the truck. I've used it around my property mainly to secure trees while removing them near my buildings. It was a pain to install the thing but it was worth it! Thanks for the help all, on the plugs.
