Finally decided to make a build thread. Had the truck a while so its gonna be long

Since I was 15, I was buying and selling cars/trucks. All the pictures below are of all my loves that I let go for something better… witch led me to my taco!:D
Im a picture fanatic (not saying I'm good at taking them but i take a lot of them so my thread will be filled)

Each of them I built up front stock…

Coming to the conclusion with toyota soon and hopefully will end up trading swapping all my aftermarket parts onto a mag grey 2014 Tacoma TRD Off Road. So until then… no more mods

Hey, nice truck, what was lemon about it? was it your rear differential making whirring/whistling noises? Had a family friend have this problem and they gave him such a hassle about it...has a tundra now

jeez… where to begin haha gonna be a long list so prepare. Got the truck october of 2012, finally got rid of it May of 2014. so you know, i did 4wheel with it, but never beat it up. And after the issues kept happening i didn't 4wheel for about a year, then borrowed my dads truck and put mine "up on bricks" for 4 months because i was sick of being in the dealership every 2 weeks during school. The fight with toyota lasted almost a year, luckily my parents were traveling so i had the convince of using their second car (my dads truck)

Defect found in driver left front coil spring – deformed, removed & replaced

Worn upper shock mount, binding and leaking – removed and replaced passenger right front shock and upper mount and retainer, Shock mount, cracked and replaced 4 times (still squeaked once "fixed")

Removed and replaced link assembly front stabilizer

Battery died @ 9,800 miles (never let any electronics run while the truck wasn't running)

Left front window switch squeaks/rattles – general repair done

Rear passenger window & motor replaced 4 times - after the 4th replacement it still left grease up and down my window sometimes

Rear brake assembly replaced twice - sounded like my brakes were shot, one replaced at 4,000 the other at 16,500

Had to be realigned about 4 times in the first 2,000 to get the truck to not shake and to drive straight

Leaking power steering vane pump - removed and replaced power steering pump

Blower motor fan hub assembly found cracked - Removed and replaced blower motor assembly

Right passenger fog light split due to manufacturer defect - removed and replaced right passenger fog light assembly (twice)

total days in the shop - 61 days

Definition of a lemon, but toyota said it wasn't because i had aftermarket rims and exhaust on it. Complete bulls***, but they settled on enough "cash & keep" for my to swallow my pride, remove all my aftermarket parts, trade it in, pay the difference with the cash they gave me + some out of my own pocket, and then pay to get all my stuff put on the new truck.

So finally i have my new 2014 MGM TRD OR

Its my family haha moms chevy equinox was a lemon, couldn't be fixed, so chevy paid for the difference for a new vehicle. So she traded it on her jeep grand cherokee. Jeep ended up having major front end issues and engine problems with their valvtech hemi, chrystler paid her back every dime she paid for the car and any inconvenience haha Now has a highlander and loves it to death

I got my subs, remote start, and everything else out of my old truck! only thing "lost" was the tint not the truck, the plastidipped parts (not a big deal at all, did it to the new one), and the replacement bumper. Wish i had a MGM bumper on the new one, but the chrome is growing on me.

Its the out of pocket of putting "old" stuff back on my new truck thats rubbing me the wrong way but hey i have a new truck so i can't complain!
