But you have a shop full of tools?

Is the shop so full that you can't fit a cap in there? No friends house? Parents house?

Both our garages are full all the time and the only place i could try to fit it is my grandfather's basement IF it would fit.

Or i could cut it up with the reciprocator and run it through a wood chipper.

You can't tell me that there isn't a yard you couldn't put it in for a day?

There is enough animosity in my family about it at the moment that if i put it in the yard for a day, i'd never hear the end of it.

And as much as i am on the internet, do you really think i have any friends that would let me put 300lbs of fiberglass in their yard?

That sucks. But do you have a friend will drive you 2 and a half hours to look at a bike? ;)

How in the world does that thing weigh 300lbs? I could lift mine by myself when I took mine off my truck.

It takes all of me and my older brother to get it off and set it in the yard to clean the back of my cab. (Only done that once since i have owned the truck)

I do have a second set of eyes and plenty of other vehicles to use

My advice is to never try and remove the cap by yourself, I tried to do it once....

Release clamps, crawl under it, lift, walk to end of tailgate, sit down, continue lifting as you step on the ground.

Not too hard once you figure out the COG of the cap haha

It was just to big and awkward for me to keep stabilized on my back, fell halfway off the side of the truck, I was lucky the the side of my truck wasnt damaged.
