    going to be fun!
This is the reason I am driving a Toyota Tacoma now as I had a 2013 Escape powered by the 1.6 liter turbo-charged ecoboost engine..that had over 27 recalls….

    1. Front seat brackets breaking and puncturing people in the back.
    2. Fuel line issues.
    3. Over heating issues causing cracked heads and leaking oil onto exhaust and causing fires.

And too many more to list….

Ford bought it back and I was able to get all money paid in payments, down payment and some misc money back. What a pain in the ass though as I can feel you pain on the ordeal.

I then left the Ford dealership and went right over to the Toyota dealer next door drove off the lot in a new Truck….

Going to the auction---- Oh boy how'd you like to buy that at the used car lot.

Soo happy for you. Great job.

I had a 100R on my 2006, I like the 100XL better. The front of the cap is higher and more closely aligns with the cab, the windows are vent style with openers reachable from the back unlike the 100R, and I like the styling better. My young sons claim that caps make trucks look "old man-ish", but functionality-wise, caps are where it's at!

When the impartial services guy inspected my truck he commented "wow, there's not a mark on it anywhere"..... someone will snatch it up at auction, I just hope that everything is disclosed. Who knows, that noise may mean nothing and someone gets a truck in like new condition with 8500 miles on it.

To the OP, Congrats here as well !! You have more patience than I have !

Now, will the next buyer get the remainder of the (5yr?) Warrantee and this goes through this loop again ??? I can not fathom how mad I'd be if I'd bought that tuck without knowing all this AFTER all this occurred.. In my opinion Toyota should protect their current and prospective customers by either crushing the truck or it least change the engine before sale/auction.

If I knew of the issues and loss of warranties at the time of the auction... I'd probably do the same. Hate to be the guy that does not know and pays good bucks for this and had same and more issues later...

OH... a mirror update (I started a new post on this too). A 2013 mirror with temp and compass only 1/2 works in a '14. The temp sensor does not exist, but more importantly, the wiring harness is different and there is no wire for it. I now have a compass but have to rely on the Entune APP for weather.

I feel sorry for the poor guy who buys my 2013 at auction and finds out that he has no backup camera, no temp, and no compass!

Congrats. That was a 5 month fight with Toyota to get a different truck, that alone sucks.

Mileage.... about 17 around town, 20 on the highway with my 2013, yet to be seen with the 2014.... my 2006 was better.

Sledhauler.... so far so good. My friend has a 2014 and mine like his, if you know what to look for, you can faintly hear that sound but no one else would, it's that faint.

I'm lovin' the new truck but quickly realized that the new Entune S U C K S..... FM and XM reception is lousy, FM reception is good one minute and sounds mono the next when the HD light goes out, even when not on an HD station. I think I may have the rear differential howl when you coast, there is a TSB, my 2013 did the same. I'll run up some miles and see if it breaks in before doing anything with it.
