    Same trailer hahaha
Yep both are using the same trailer and same golfcart. Maybe their overloads flex some so that's why they hit them earlier? Idk seemed kinda weird to me

After changing the oil in moms car today without a lift I talked to dad about putting a 4 post lift in the shop, work has really spoiled me with the lifts.
And after much debating and a little research he said we would try when we build the shop, but he wants a 2 post, so we get into a healthy debate about why 2 post and not 4 post, he did a little research over lunch and finally decided that if we get a lift it'll be a 4 post.

Hello easy maintenance on 99% of vehicles.

i have chevy leafs on my taco...and they work faaaaaar better than the shit toyota leafs, nothing is worse than those things. im pretty sure the chevy overload has the same arc as the main springs but the toyota overload is way flatter so it doesent touch as soon

I pulled the overload and tossed it as soon as i pulled the pack apart to clean them up so i didnt hardly look at it

yup. it will make the ride nicer, and flex better like you said. If i pulled another leaf and only ran two, holy cow it would do even better. but then i really wouldnt have any tow capacity whatsoever.

I think its working well

It was two, but he put the third one back in when he realized he was on bumps with any weight in the back.

His leafs may have broken in a bit more than mine have so far, and i think I had the same issue he did when he first started with the leafs poking out too much, and not allowing the creeper joint to articulate and work fully. In my case when we welded it they warped the wrong way it looks like so my creepers arent helping as much as they should. But its not enough for me to want to change it.

believe it or not, silas and I have almost the same amount of flex, we have exactly the same set up (his shackle angle was a bit flatter too which appeared to help just a tiiny bit more with flex). Once I HC my rear it will seem even more similar. no bob and dovetail though.

i think the bob/dovetail made it seem like it had even more droop/stuff than it already did

your rear is indeed impressive, it came out great! I am full of jelly

ive always wanted to fuck with my rear, but i dont have access to dat welding shit.

Thanks man  I think it did too. I mean I didnt ever compare numbers so I dont know. He had a couple things that added together make his rear a hair flexier than mine but i really dont think its that much. He had a natural talent for making his truck work really really fucking well and I just love and respect the shit out of that.

Im still impressed by its reliability and sheer go wherever the fuck it wantsness. I go out with similar equipped solid axle jeeps all the time (33s/35s rear locker, armor), and just stomp the shit out of them. 3 weeks ago I walked through this narrow rock chute un spotted that the other two guys spent 10 minutes each just in the entrance.

My goal is to be that dick, and by next moab lock the front, steal chads 36s, do some trail clearencing, and try to be the second stock arm IFS tacoma to run helldorado.

it's weird how good our rigs can do with shit for travel in the front, but a frexy/locked rear

your truck, silas', even scuba's were just rigs with no significant front travel and big taaaarrsss

and you and silas stomped moab, and scuba ran the rubi

makes me like SFA rigs even more lol

The wheel base is the biggest help I think. 1st gens is spot on. Much bigger, like the dclb 2nd gens starts to be a pain if you are too low. Good approach/departure angle, good wheel base, and Toyota knew how to build a 4x. Everything is tucked inside the frame on a 1st gen but the t cast x member. No low hanging fruit to worry about.

But ya the front is so fucking useless it hurts. It literally steals flex from the rear.

Also I tried to type dclb and my phone seriously tried to autocorrect to Dickbutt lol. Wtf how does it know
