Finished installing new front springs and shocks. Now I'm waiting for my lift spindles and rear shackle/shocks set.

Installed a Class III Reese Hitch and 4 Pole Wiring Harness.

I know the truck is tow rated off the bumper and the tow capacity doesn't increase no matter what on the 4cyl. I did it more for peace of mind, I always feel better off of a hitch. Plus, I plan on lifting the truck and putting a taller tire under it so once I do that, off the bumper will be to high to tow anything.

I base this mostly off of my grandfather. He has a Tundra with the same style bumper and the first time he pulled his Harley on his trailer, from making turns the neck of the trailer marked up both sides of the bumper and it twisted the bumper down. We know for a fact that the tongue weight on the trailer was less than the max for the bumper. He had a large scale for fishing and it was under 200lbs, still messed it up. Ended up replacing the bumper and then threw a hitch on it too.

Just received a full set of WeatherTechs, and i have to say, they fit like ass. I had similar (may have been re-branded WeatherTech too) floor mats in both of my X3's and they fit like a glove, but these just suck. Argh.

Rear ones do fit better than the fronts.

My truck has "heavy-duty" factory rubber flooring (no carpet), but it does not seem too heavy-duty to me. I take my dog to a dog beach every day and end up with very large amounts of sand in the truck, so i figured I would still get WeatherTechs to keep that sand somewhat contained. Plus I already scratched the crap out of those heavy-duty floors in 2 weeks. Shit, these mats don't even contour the lines correctly and there are like 1" gaps everywhere and about another 1" under the mats, so when i step on them they get pushed down and deformed all around the ages. I have a disappoint. May end up sending them back.

    Before I step on them:

    This sucks.

Is it because you have no carpet

I often think about pulling out the carpet and spraying some type of rubber on it. pull the drain plug every now and then and bam….but there is a lot of exposed wires without the carpet.

WeatherTech's are great when you have the carpeting. Not sure where you ordered them from, but if you were to order from WeatherTechdotCOM they have a disclaimer that says "Not designed or recommended for models equipped with vinyl flooring". FWIW might be able to return if you bought from 3rd party vendor who didn't disclose that. Not sure but worth a shot.

Got them on Amazon. Just looked over the page. Not a single mention of them being incompatible with vinyl flooring. Oh well. I guess i'll just return them or sell them to someone.

I am sure you can sell them pretty quick on here to some local guys. At least you have the vinyl so you could go with standard mud mats and not have too many worries.

Mine aren't perfect, especially the back seat with the front seats all the way back they're too tall and end up getting folded/rolled up. WTechs are overrated, but beats fucked up floors

My truck started to pop every time I pulled her out of the driveway. Looked underneath and notice 2 u-joints that looked broken. Replaced today and now no more popping!
