Lifetimeledheadlights website just added an upgrade for 80$. Says you can exchange your 2600lm for the New 3600lm. You have to pre order they will have them in stock on 8/14.

I wonder if they would accept mine back, since I did the epoxy mod.

    Hmmm... Tempting.

I'll probably wait until one of mine goes out (assuming they will) before I upgrade. I'm happy with the color and light output as of right now. Thanks for the info :)

I have not looked through all 36 pages but did you / can you take pictures of the cut off line? I installed mine yesterday, they fit like a glove which they should but the pattern is spotty like HIDs. I had to aim mine way down, and the hi-beams are completely useless. I am just wondering if you have the same pattern as I do, which I wouldn't know why they would be different. Thanks.

On that first low beam shot, about how far away from the garage door were you?

    Between 20-30' IIRC

FWIW I didn't have to do any aiming at all.

I wish I could say the same. I bought these headlights from a member and bought the lifetime LEDs separately, they arrived at about the same time and I did the swap. I removed my retros and put these in and can't get a defined cutoff line, can't get the hi-beams to work properly, and they are aimed way down. Maybe the install got messed up some how, but it was pretty straight forward. Thanks for the help, I will take these SOBs back and see what the deal is.

Same issues here, and for many other people as well.

I'm just curious why you would pull retrofits out in favour of these lights? It seems sort of strange unless the retrofits were done poorly.

These lights work fine for me. They are not perfect, but I find that they were an upgrade over stock. I'm surprised that some members have so much hate for these lights. If lifetimes reputation holds up you should, at the least, receive new lights ASAP if you want to try that.

Few reasons really. They were already made and poorly made at that, I ripped them apart 3 or 4 times to fix the cutoff line the best I could and it's still off by 1 or 2 degrees. The paint inside the housings was also poorly done, blemishes and scrapes behind the lens drive me nuts. They aren't the right color I would have picked, the shrouds are chrome . There is always a flicker of light that lasts 1 minute or so when I first turn them on, I've broken so many lamps just removing them from the housings it's rediculous. There are 2 small tabs that hold it in to place and if you look at them wrong they break in half. I'm on my 2nd set of ballasts and my 2nd wiring harness, and TRS was no help. Done with these POS's, I will sell them and cut my losses.

I did not want to go the complaining route as I like to give the vendor every benefit of the doubt I can, I will just remove the headlights and reinstall everything more carefully incase I might have missed something.

What's the current consensus regarding the headlight boot ? on/off , I asked Lifetime Led and they said either way was ok. Thoughts?

    Poll?

You would get debris inside the housings without the boots, then again I read about someone saying how hot the fans get so idk really.

That makes sense. I've heard some terrible stories about badly done retrofits.

    Good luck.

Does anyone kno about the warranty transferring to other person? I just bought mine from a member on here and was wondering in case something happens to them or if I decide to do the trade in for the newer model.

Try and get a copy of the original receipt then a receipt for your purchase. You can email lifetime and talk direct to them

Yes. The Lifetime LED H11 Fog Light Bulbs are essentially plug-n-play and work very well in the factory fog light housings.

You really need to have the rubber boot on. If you do not, you will get all kinds of debris not to mention moisture in the headlight housing.

I have had my LED headlights and fog lights running for many months now with no problems.
