so what happened?

 

Just throwing this out there. No agenda or anything, just a laid back day for everybody to get together and have some fun in gnarstow.

 

Phew what a interesting 3 hours.

 

Details, man! Was he good? Truck good?

 

Yea he was side ways on the beginning of one of the hardest trails on cleghorn.

So we tried to winch his ass and slide it on the trail. we where able to wiggle him back and forth till he was able to completely turn down the hill. Well in the process of that his value stem ripped half away off and started letting air out. So his tire was completely flat by the time we got him down. So we change his tire and I dragged him up with 30 foot rope. That pretty much it.

He is safe and sound the truck has some scratches. I need to relive my hi lift wasn't working correctly.

 

Didn't see this until a few minutes ago that someone was stuck..Ryan you have my number, next time call if there's someone stranded somewhere and needs help. I'm usually always ready for the next adventure/recovery. As for your hi-lift, try spraying the entire mechanism with WD-40 or other similar spray lube. That should help it out a lot. Every time I go out I always hit it with the WD-40.


Edit: Jasmine and I helped with finding and recovering a stolen 4runner that was stolen yesterday. We found it less then an hour ago so that a was cool

 

I was always told by some old 4-wheeler guys to spray down the hi-lift with water instead of WD-40 to keep the dust from collecting on it. Just an observation, wonder if there's any truth to it.

 

All I can say is both of my hi-lifts work without any issues and both are kept on the trucks in the elements. Water washes away dirt but it will also wash away any lubricants. Keep it lubed

 

Hmm do you guys think I can get new headlights? Mine are all fogged up

yea its a bulb but toyota wants like $11 per bulb lol
i have the led replacement that i get for $5 bucks online...want on?

 

Yea pretty tired from swimming all day with drinking. Then going on rescue mission.

Yes please, but i might as well do all of them at the same time. 3 bulbs total right? I'll hit you up for them after our epic 10 day road trip.....that starts tomorrow we might even do some trails on Saturday with the Washington/Oregon TW peeps.
