Actually might do a poll on the GKC Armory FB page to see what direction people want me to go with it.

You should do a giveaway... And it goes to your most patient customer... Like one that has waited almost a year ;) it's even OD green!!! So it would already match his XD's and MP15's.

I know it sounds specific but I think that would be the way to go!

What kind of FPS will a longbow make?

    CT,

I prefer "heavy" arrows in the 11-12 grains/pound (of bow weight) range. The arrows that I've been hunting with for the past several seasons have a finished weight of about 610 grains. Using arrows of this weight with three 5.5" helically applied maxi-fletch feathers, my longbow will send them off at 170 fps. If I were to drop down in arrow weight to 9 grains/pound, arrow speed would increase to a few fps either side of 190.

I've never been one to be too concerned with arrow speed.

I am only curious. Seems indians and settlers and traditionalists didnt have a problem taking game with them then, nor now.

Take out some of that shelving. put the pistols standing up, you can make a stand with a 2x4 and some dowel rods.

My safe looks like Jenga w/firearms and inevitably I need the rifle in the back and have to take like 20 out just to get to the damn thing. Never do I need the one right in the front... probably a good thing given which one is right in front and why now that I think about it.

Bumping into each other? Mine are literally all stacked against each other and smashed into each corner and any open area I can find. I often have to give the door an extra push just to get it closed and that's after re-organizing several times to get everything as packed in as I can. Do you worry when your tools in your tool box touch each other too? I'm fucking with you of course but to me it's a similar idea since they're all tools. I've got some that I cherish that I take extra car of but to me a well-worn firearm is a thing to behold. Anyone can own a firearm they've never taken out of the box.

I don't go out of my way to scratch them up and try to be careful moving them around in the safe and what not but I don't think you're going to ding your gun beyond recognition from touching each other in a safe. A mark here or there isn't the end of the world and if you have an old collector then that should be cared for differently anyway. I just wouldn't stress about keeping every single firearm you own looking like the day it came out of the box or you will worry yourself into an early grave. FWIW, my most prized firearm of my grandfathers is a shotgun that has plenty of wear on it and he even 'blew it up' once from reloading and I like it the best because I remember him using it. The more you use those the more your kid will cherish them and every scratch and blemish will be character that he will appreciate more than a gun that's in a box in pristine condition. Just my take on that topic I guess. Not trying to criticize you for your opinion just trying to help you not worry about it quite as much as it sounds like you may.

Even better, just get something like this and you can use as many or as few as you need/want and position them wherever you want and add more as you need them. I use those and then some velcro strips on other organizer type items to hold all sorts of stuff in the door to clear up some space. My safe is so crowded that I have to arrange door items to make room for rifles and such too. lol

I just keep my slings on my door...the rest of my safe is like firearm jenga too...inevitably I always want the long gun in the back too

I haven't noticed any dings or damage and mine are all touching too...I'm just careful pulling them out...pistols are easier because of the rack...they don't touch and there's plenty of room

Fwiw I own more guns than what's in your safe beav, and I could probably get most of mine in your safe minus maybe a couple of long guns
