Trail run would be better on the 6th for me as well. Im not in to much of a hurry to get the front installed so I can wait a few weeks.
I get back on sept. 1st so I won't have labor day weekend free either, anytime after that though im free, even during the week.

 

I am looking towards a Mod day soon.

While performing a parts inventory and size check, I encountered a potential problem:



Factory sized upper shackle (at least that is what it looks like)
Dakar sized lower shackle (I think I have the bushings in hand for this)

The shackles look like the Prior Owner custom work:



Thoughts????

 

I will be out of town for Labor Day weekend.

As of right now, I am free on the weekends of 6th, and 13th, but plans can change rapidly unless I commit to specific dates.

I was hoping to get some truck stuff done before this weekend's trip (Naches), but I doubt that will happen. I need to rebuild (2) CVs and possibly install them both, and also replace the Needle Bearing with the ECGS bushing. I also need to swap my 1/2" top-plate spacers for 1/4" ones and drain/fill both diffs. and the transfer case.

At some point, I need to fab a plate to install my BlueSea fuse block, and wire-up a new LED bar in my canopy. I have been slacking big-time on truck mods.

 

Well to be fair, you did just put a fricking motor in your truck.

 

I will be making a trip up to walker valley on the 24th of this month, the more the marrier.

Just kidding man. Hope you are doing well. All good on Labor Day. I'll just avoid doing it until something breaks.. Erica won't be home much that weekend, so no second car. If I needed something I would be SOL. I'll find another day to work on it. Don't want to do my UCA's by myself either. Doesn't seem like a fun job single handed.

BTW, wheelers has some awesome new 1/4" spacers. No longer metal, so you don't get that retarded metal on metal sound. I have one of them in the truck right now to swap out my 1/4" I have in there.

 

Im not to much into Walker personally. A lot of rednecks who just go full throttle and don't care about who is around them, plus trails are a little tough for a mainly stock truck. Both times ive been up there I have seen an ambulance take away at least 1 person in the parking lot.

 

I'm doing something every single weekend until the 27th of September, but all my projects need professionals or extended amounts of welding.

Are you talking about ? I don't think those serve as spacers, but just as replacement parts.

Since you are 2wd you won't be able to do many trails but forest service roads are perfect for you. You can get way back in the woods like I was a few days ago. Look back a page or 2 for pictures.

 

So I'm debating selling my truck... Just more of a money pit to get it to where I'd be happy with it right now. I have other hobbies that take all my time and money.

That sounds perfect! Break 'er in real slow like, ye see... She's spent too much time in southern California traffic. I can't believe there's another 405 Fwy., up here. The mere thought makes me disgruntled... However, that all quickly fades with Bald eagles every morning, fresh chicken eggs, and a concealed pistol permit. This place couldn't be a better fit for a man, man. Cannot wait to get into some real backwoods with my truck. Thanks so much!!!

I'm just out of California, where gun rights are not worth the security or freedom of having them. I'll soon be armed, but I don't think I'm going to get any chicks in Freeland with a sidearm, as much as I like that idea...

Google maps actually has a lot of them.

I don't have any that you would like. Nwjeepn.com has a good variety too
