Just Installed Bilstein 5100 and wheelers 3 leaf HD AAL

    It should not affect ride, you're right, it really just adds that extra lift due to its thickness and does nothing until you are under enough load.

    so the progessive aals are better then just adding a single aal??

    Only ride height will change unless carrying a load.

    Each has their pro's and cons...

    Single is better at hauling weight

    Triple is better at bumps

    Trade off with each...

    XXXX is right, it depends on what you are looking to do. I personally do not haul stuff very often, my truck is a secondary vehicle mostly for winter so I opted for comfort.

    What about flex when offroad? Are you better off with the single AAL or the progressive pack?

    Progressive... it flexes better thus rides less harsh thus carry's jack for payload

    I went with the single 1.5" AAL from Wheelers. I chose it over the progressive because I will be hauling with it and was afraid of taking the overload out with the progressive pack and breaking a leaf.

    If I had air bags like the OP I wouldnt be worried about it as much.

    I don't have air bags, I just don't do much hauling. I think it was someone else on here that said they have air bags

    OK so 5100s all around progressive aal anything else that I need? And does anybody want to buy a spikes tactical 11.5 AR pistol to help me pay for the lift lol

    Yep, the guy in post #2 did, my bad.

    I would have liked to had a little better ride, but I'm fine with it being a little stiffer in the back if it means I can load it down a little more and not worry about it.

    Originally I had planned to get a new leaf pack, but after looking at the difference in cost I decided to go with the AAL and see how it did. I'm satisfied so far. It has shown it is going to handle anything I will do with it. I doubt I'll ever haul any more weight than I did with the cinder blocks.
