Those hand guards and mirrors look great! I may have to switch over :spy:

And not all dirt bikes are expensive to convert to street, I did mine for less than $400, which includes new tires ($190 for DOT tires, $90 for baja street legal kit, then tag and title) Easy work if you know how to wire up turn signals and what not. It is a bit more expensive for a straight motocross bike like you pointed out, but if you get an enduro its not as pricey because the gearing, headlight, tail light, speedo, odo etc (expensive shit) is already there. DRZ's or XR's are your best choices there..

AR15xAR10 - I'd jump all over that DRZ400s if its in your price range.

    Do it! :D
    Go get it already!
The more reading I do the more likely I would not want a KTM. Not because of reliability, but because everything about them is expensive! I'd be to worried to even drive it for fear of having to replace something...

Yea it seems to be more expensive but they seem to be pretty reliable and I want a larger bike with fuel injection, plus i love the looks. Not like I won't have another bike to ride just in case.

Means truck mods are on the down-low now

Definitely, the KTM 690 Enduro R is my favorite when it comes to dual sports haha

My truck mods have come to a screeching hault. But, the next mod I wanted to do was either an Elite or regear. And neither of those are happening anytime soon no matter what. So I'm happy with where the truck's at and can't wait to start riding the bike and modding it to it's full potential. Not much left to do to the bike already haha

Oh there's always more to do to a bike also. Change sprockets, new wheels, new plastics, start racing. Just little things that add up

Sprockets and plastics are definitely happening haha

Wheels, maybe. Will probably just get my current ones powdercoated black during the Winter.

I don't want to race, I know that haha

Have you ever done it? By race I mean track days. I will say it's one of the funnest things I've ever done.

Nope. This is my first bike, remember? Haha

Don't plan on getting street tires anytime soon, definitely not this year. I like the dirt too much haha

Ah, now dirt track will probably happen eventually haha

Nothing too crazy like racing, and would prefer to wait until my friend has a dirt bike to go with me so I feel more comfortable if/when I wreck.

Completely agree with the KTM statement. Great bikes but way too pricey! Might as well buy a BMW bike haha. But if I was a rich man, that 690r would be my choice. It looks so good! I might try to retrofit a ktm front fender on my bike once I get a few other mods complete.
