rear diff lock stuck on!

    hey guys im new on here just bought an 04 tacoma a couple weeks ago but the difflock sticks on sometimes what causes it to do that and how do i fix it ?

    OME 3" lift with 885 coils. OME Shocks with TSB 1.5 AAL. 285/75/16 KM2s. XD Hoss 16" wheels. DDM Tuning 6000K HIDs, H10 6000K Fogs. BHLM. Debaged. 20% tint on front windows.
    What i do is... I drive in a straight line but move the steering wheel left to right just enough to make the truck rock side to side, that typically works for me.

    never mind i took off the elocker motor and she was pooched so i went down to the wrecker and picked one up shes good to go now thanks

    Just picked up an 02 yesterday and it sticks as well. Fiddling for a while will eventually disengage it. I'll try the left and right trick see if that fixes it, if not I might have to look for a new motor as well? Any suggestions?

    Mine wasn't going on so I rebuilt the actuator and it works great now.

    Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
    I also just do a sweeping left or right turn and that works for me. So long as both wheels are turning at different ratios the diff locks and unlocks easily

    Bump this because my rear diff lock won't unengage. I've done the whole figure 8 thing and it still stays locked.

    Nice to see that I don't appear to be in as bad shape as I thought I was. Externally, anyway. Just have to pull mine open and figure out why my limit switch readings are wonky, and also replace those two cover bolts as he had to do.
