Who do you guys think is the leagues best cornerback? If you were to build a defense around one, who would it be?

Lots of CB's have been claiming to be the best. Sherman has a 99 rating on Madden (Megatron and JJ Swatt are the only other players with 99 ratings I believe). Peterson recently became the highest paid CB in the league.

Personally I believe Patrick Peterson is the top CB, and I would build a defense around him. He shadows the opposing team's top receiver and goes man-to-man the entire game. Most corner's play one side and rely on safety help.

Nothing's wrong with locking down a side of the field like Sherman does, but I'd rather have a guy just straight out eliminate the best option for the QB.

I'd build a defense around the defensive line instead of corner. Can't go wrong with either Watt or Quinn because both are monsters.

Let's go Dolphins, do or die for a lot of personnel this season, we shall see how it all unfolds… maybe a playoff spot this year?!?

Sadly, most the current coaching staff is unaware that you win or lose football games in the trenches. At least at the high level.

With the possible exception of, say, Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton, you probably will not ever take a team to and win the SB with a shit oline. And at least GB is getting it together on the oline, finally.

I don't think that sacks given up is a fair evaluation of line play when evaluating the Packers offensive line. They seemed to do alright run blocking this past year. Some of the sacks that Rodgers takes are on him. He sure takes his time getting the ball to his receivers. He's had success waiting for plays to open up but I wouldn't recommend that anyone hold on to the ball as long as he does.

I'm just hoping we get through the pre-season without any massive injuries. Hell, any injuries at all would be even better!

That said, after watching Green Bay's monsoon-fest at the Tits, I'm very, very happy how well the first and second team O-lines played. Our running game is going to be a beast this year, and maybe A-Rod won't be running for HIS life half the time!

Defense still needs some help up front though. We've had a lot of injuries there in the last couple years, had a lot of high picks miss time.
