Holy shit that's a real fuckin helmet...

Roflmao. So did I. I went and got my glasses to see if it was true.

 

If you guys only knew how close my truck was to rolling 100 yards down a hill, you wouldn't blame me for wearing that helmet.

What a terrible day that was...slid off a rock on Bronco Peak and the only thing holding the passenger side of the truck on the ground was my ARB strap wrapped around my B-pillar, with 3 guys holding it down as I got pulled forward by 2 other vehicles and out of that spot. I haven't told anybody that story, because it was so terrifying for me to get back into the truck the way it was and try to move it without knowing whether or not I was going to tumble down the mountain or get back on the right line. I was shaking so bad and every second in the truck at that spot felt like hours. You can ask the other guys who were there, nobody wanted to be in the driver seat. It was way too dangerous.

Needless to say, I think I'll stick to mostly desert stuff from now on.

 

It would have helped more than not wearing it. Whatever, in that moment, it seemed like the right thing to do. My judgement was clouded based on the fact that I could have died or totaled my truck that day.

No dude, look at my photos and stuff from before I ever worked at the shop. I actually went wheeling more often before than I do now. And I only said that because some people ask me how I can put up with the constant shit. I've learned that there will be haters in every facet of life, and there's no escaping it other than doing exactly what you want to do and not holding back in fear of being judged. If you guys think my head is too big these days, and I think I'm some hot shot, you're wrong. Ask anybody at the shop or close friends. I'm always asking questions or asking for help.

 

It really didn't, man.

I will admit that I have to carry myself differently working in this industry than before, but it was never meant to be abrasive. Just hope my friends can understand that.
