lolz. been a while since we talked technical terms in here. can't make it too easy for everyone.

 

Finially got around to putting my old 33s on the trailer today. trailer is now ready to go for the drive to Maryland.

 

Also made some progress on the aux fuel tank install today. hardest part of the project is figuring out how to tie into the existing tank. The fitting that I believe will solve this issue didn't exist, so I decided to make my own. It's a simple reducing tee, but I couldn't find a premade, so I sweat together some copper.

I capped the ends, filled it with water, and pressurized it with my CO2 tank. no leaks at 200 PSI,




1''-1/4'' line that heads up to the pumps.




and on the other end of the 1''-1/4'' hose, is another tee, that splits the lines to each pump. Really with I could have found a y-splitter so the pumps weren't pushing against each other, but it'll do.

 

ordered the ride right airbags

maiden test voyage with them will be towing my trailer to maryland in a few weeks.

 

Take detailed notes - I need to see how it works as my wife wants to get a small camper trailer.

 

I forsee the u-bolt flip causing some difficulties. other than that it should be a straigh forward install. All of the reviews are extremely positive for hauling trailers and loads in the bed.

 

Are you going to make them easily removable so you aren't constantly stretching them when wheeling or are they plenty long enough to accommodate your down travel? Or possibly pinching them at full stuff?

 

they will come off for wheeling. 6 bolts a piece and they're off. no way they'd survive trails.

I'm in bedford, over near lynchburg. Was hoping you'd come to the big dogs event so I could see the build in person, maybe some other time!

 

yeah, I love the cove, but it's just too close to all of the moving mayhem. Fiance's folks have a cabin in Nelson County, next mountain over from Wintergreen. I think Crozet is fairly nearby, and I've some good pictures of their trails. could definitely make a weekend out of that since its near you.
