    Hey Pete,
    Question about the HC rear bumper. I used the search function in the thread but was unable to find anything using the keywords I used.

    I did the trailer harness relocation the way you did and I am curious to know how you mounted it on the HC bumper after cutting it up. I'm assuming I will probably have to buy another one that has the mount points but I wanted to see if/how you did it. Question has been in the back of my mind for a while now just haven't found time to ask and sorry if this is a repost :eek:

    I bought one from Honda. It is the exact same, but I had to switch the plug on the new harness to the one I had on my original Toyota one. You could just buy any 7 pin harness, but because the Pelfrey HC rear is already cut to fit the stock one perfect I decided to go this route. Still way cheaper than buying a new one from Toyota.

    Towed for the first time today with my high clearance. Picked up a 10" drop. Tried an 8" but it was just a little too high still. It's also my first time towing since I regeared. Made a big difference. I had way more power.

    Good to know what should work for my truck and Pelfrey. I wonder if the 8'' would be too high for me even though I don't have the 35's like you...

    I don't tow but I'd like to have the right hitch somewhere in the truck just in case.

    To be honest I think you would be fine with an 8" drop without 35s. I would have kept the 8" if my truck was any lower.

    Here is the one I got. I had to file the edges a little bit, because the fit was so close. I wouldn't recommend messing with a hitch, but because it is a solid piece of aluminum and not hollow I wasn't worried about it.

    The 8" I got fit much better and didn't need to be files. Plus it was a quarter of the price.
