It is with great regret that I will be signing off this forum very soon.

Everyone has been such a great inspiration and help and I would like to personally thank the owners and operators of this forum, and all the members that make it work everyday.

This forum is a great wealth of infomation and I wish you all the best.

I have decided to stay with Toyota and I have bought a Prius IV. I will also be buying another pickup soon, but Tacomas are in such short supply in the used market, I may not be getting another. But if I do I will be back!

Anyone know of a good Prius Forum???

    Thanks everyone!

And now for the rest of the story...

Some dumba$$ ran a red light and I tagged him. Fortuantely he had insurance! But it was totaled. But life goes on. I hate car payments!

Why would you buy a prius?

EDIT: Oh yeah. Glad no one was hurt. Although you may have suffered some head trauma with the prius purchase.

It is the most comfortable car I have ever driven. You should go take a new one for a test drive. But hang on to your Taco. Also I make my living being on the road a lot and I get paid $.55 a mile. So I am making more money by getting better gas milage. :D

Indeed - you're ok and the truck did what it was supposed to do - just another reason to get into a Taco!! ...nothing around that you could pick up???

Glad your ok, and like Chris said, "Pop in from time to time." There are other like you who had to let go, get rid, or get another type of vehicle, but they still stick around just to shot the shit.

Just busting your balls. What ever pleases you.

Although a Prius on the freeway is no different than any other car.

I will shut my mouth now.

    Glad you are happy.

My wife has a Prius and loves it, she can have that shit.

(^This is me acting tough in front of the TW guys, I actually love that car nearly as much as my Taco. They are quite amazing in many different ways.)

PS a good Prius site is www.priuschat.com

I dont think you guys realize how low the Taco inventory is right now. Of the dealers in my area, there are almost no used ones, and only three or four new ones on each lot, all high end, not base models. They are high value and in high demand, with the obligatory high price(which is great if you need the value like I did.)

I am going to keep looking but the market for high value cars/trucks is running low on inventories.

I'm glad your ok bro...you can always replace the tacoma...but why a prius? I know to each their own...

only reason I could think is cheaper insurance payments and cheaper on gas...

good luck bro don't forget to stop back in from time to time...there are a bunch of used tacomas that you can find all over the nation...

I think something rattled in his brain during the accident. We might suggest you go in and get a more thorough check-up!

Main reason is I drive alot. In the last year I put over 45k on my Tacoma. I was looking for a second car when the wreck happened. So I decided to get a very efficient vehicle for my work and later get another truck. Well later has turned into sooner since I cant haul anything in the Prius.

Other reason, I make more money driving a Prius.

I bought it Thursday and have been driving normal, lead footed for me. I filled it up yesterday, drove 422 miles and it only took 8.774 gallons which comes to 48.1 mpg. I expect it will do a lot better if I drive it like a tree hugger. But at regular driving, there is no car around that will get 48.1 mpg and still have fun driving.

I got on the PriusChat forum and there are some really serious people over there. With the few questions I asked, I felt like I was a logger at a GreenPeace/Sierra Club convention. They dont seem to have as much fun as we do over here in the Taco World. And Mods, like where is the best place to wire in a radar detector? You would have thought that I shot the pope asking a question like that. LOL!
