I have a 2013 Tacoma regular cab 4x4 manual, when I turn the A/C on while I am driving I feel a weird jolt from my truck like it messes with the engine, I also have a 1998 Tacoma regular cab 2wd manual and when I turn the A/C on in that truck while driving I don't feel a weird jolt or anything, I was just curios if anyone else has experienced this in that particular model and is it something to be concerend about cause it bothers me being a brand new truck any ones advice or opinion I would really appriciate it please and thank you...:)

Probably just the compressor kicking on. Will most likely go away after awhile. If you're really concerned, take it to your dealer or mechanic and see what they say.

Thank you I just wanted to ask on here first to see if any one may know before I take it down to my Toyota dealer cause knowing them they would charge me an arm and a leg when it could be something so simple to fix if need be.

Mine does the same, but just when I turn it on. Nothing else is really affected after.

Yes I do, I was really upset tho back in May when I got a recall on my new truck for the extra traction control button to the left of the steering wheel by the clutch/start/cancel and RSCA button's and when I took it down there for an appointment the guy argued with me and said I didn't buy the truck under the waranty when I did and luckly the sales lady who sold me the truck was there on site and straightend it out its been a hassel the past couple times I've been there that's why I said that.

Intresting, yeah it doesn't do it while sitting and running when I turn it on only when you turn it on driving down the road.

Yes it is and a few of the people that work there that I've had to deal with are rude and treat me and look at me as if I don't know what I'm talking about because I'm a girl and they try to pull shit over my head, yes that place is a pain the ass but I fire right back and don't take any of their shit!

I'll be in Butte Lake Campground and driving into Lassen during the day for hiking and whatnot. Hopefully hitting up the restaurant at Mineral Lodge for burgers and cold draft beer either that Friday or Monday following. What are temps like? Down here the weather is completely different one day to the next. Staying in low 50s at night, though, but I'm not at 7k feet

Awesome!!!:) Its so nice over there and going hiking or just a cruise through Lassen is peaceful and beautiful I would love to have hiked Lassen last night or the night before in the full moon I did that last year and it was spectacular loved it, all the times I have driven through Mineral I have never stopped at the Lodge how's their food? The temps have been decent during the highest has been mid 90 or mid 80 pleasant and at night and in the morning its been mid to low 50 and a couple days mid 60 pretty comfortable where about's are you from? I have a ranch right off 44 just before Shingletown with Bear creek running through the back yard the cabin sits on the edge of the ridge the temp at times varies here too.
