I took hunters ed and gave up the "oh i didn't know i couldn't be here" thing. Go thru the class, go fill out the paper work….boom, excessive speeding…sorry amigo!

but my coworker moved from the mainland and just switched his paperwork over and got a permit in hawaii without going thru the class. I was told I needed to go hunters ed, or go thru a safety course…

I did TL's and love them! They aren't quite as sharp as the 430's, but man are they wide and have a killer high! They are giant though; I ended up chopping off half the housing so now the reflector has a 6" hole bored through it. Then a lot of fiberglass work to get the bowl mounts to work. The good thing about the size though is they can take some heat! I could run 100w if I wanted, but I'm happy with 55w. And these things take 55w 85122+'s like they are nothing! I melted my origional Mini D2S with that exact same setup lol. I also like how the TL's are a closed design, so I didn't have to do any fancy foot work to avoid spill into the bowl like I did with my FX-R 1.1's.

Did you get the clear ZKW replica lens when you did yours? I've got the TL's on my truck also with the step up for the cutoff vs. the slope cutoff. They were only available the first 2 years when the TL came out in 03-04. Heres a pic little blurry.

FX'R's are really good also. If I ever did another retro that's what I'd use.
