Finally got my 33s to fill out the OME lift kit. They rubbed on the front mudflaps a little bit (no rub after removal), but other than that I couldn't be happier.

Next step is to swap out all the chrome for anthracite.

did a satoshi for a friend in college abiout a year and a half ago. he had an indigo ink with a chrome grill. there's a site online (forget the name) that you can give your paint code to, and they'll send you your color in a spray can. sanded the chrome, couple coats of primer, couple coats of the new paint, and then a couple coats of clear. less expensive than a new grill, and it matched very well.

bah! i drove around for a week without a grill, becasue i cut it up and didn't have time to finish it.

it's really a quick process though.
if you wer to takeit off, cut it up, and paint it on a friday night, you could let it dry over night and finish it up on a saturday morning, no problem. without paint, i can do a satoshi in about an hour these days (without counting beer drinking time). i don't know how long Craig's plastic welding takes, but i'm sure he can do them even faster.

Outstanding. Another thing i'm trying to figure out is depth, apparently thin lip is easier and is what is needed to mount lights behind the grill. I have always wanted full depth but i don't want to make it so i can't put lights behind the grill if i would decide to

thin lip is certainly easier if you don't know how to fiberglass and don't want to learn. you can fit lights behind the grill with a full depth though. granted, when i did it, none of the nice behind the grill light brackets existed, so i don't know how deep they sit. something to look into.

here's mine a few years ago with lights behind a full depth satoshi.

not sure what kind of bracket he made, but here's a buddy (about 3-4 years ago as well) with 4 behind a full depth satoshi.

Bamf bar fits behind a full depth bar.

I know how long it takes Craig to take the center of a grill out... His demo at Stevens Toyota in VA took 1 min 25 seconds
