We still lost like 1/4 of our class cause they dropped the bike once and got scared. I was the only 100% in our class :humble:

Got a sweet bandana for it haha. Where are you taking yours?

I just took the classroom course. I'd already been riding illegally for several years, so i wasn't going to waste $300 for the two-day weekend course that gets you your license too. I took the $30 permit course and then took the license exam a few weeks later and passed no problem (all they did was have me drive a 3-block loop to make sure I was signaling properly, obeying all the traffic rules, and keeping my head on a swivel).

I did the weekend one, it got us an insurance break and I hadn't ever ridden a bike. The test was fairly rigorous at the end we had to go through the whole MSF course. That damn box got a lot of people, I still suck at low speed U turns.

Taking it in warrensburg. The class is mandatory for military and it's free as long as you pass. Everybody kept going too slow for me so the last two objectives we did they made me lead haha

Well then you're not legal on base if you're military haha

Anybody that hasn't taken the basic course would learn something, I guarantee it.

It only has 300 miles on it so it's still breaking in. Has a higher top speed nearly every time I ride it haha

thats always confused me with enduro/dirt bikes, you buy it off the show room floor and you take it to the track the next day and run the dog piss out of it but im taking they told you to "break it in" because its street legal or something in that world of ideas. It jsut doesnt add up to me lol.

What is your oil change interval?

I tend to believe the philosophy of a harf break in with high revs and engine braking through the range. Break in like it's meant to be driven

That's how I have always done it, I was told it's called block memory. The engine gets a custom to a style of driving.

X2 haha. The tester wasnt thrilled when I said I just skipped the class as came just to take the riders test and get the license. Of course the riding test is all low speed shit and you never go over 15, and when he looked at the bike ad asked if that was what I'm testing on he just said good luck. The bars are low and hit the tank pretty early so turning radius is shit, a well as it being fairly low. Afterwards he also mentioned the different things illegal with it (no fender, too loud exhaust, blah blah blah).

Despite all this, and pulling up with an expired license/permit out of the 3 people that were testing at the same time I was the only one to pass lol.

I've always been told to break it in how you plan to ride it.

First oil change is at 600 miles which is supposed to be the end of the break in period. After that it's 6,000.
