0-60 Times

This. I've been wanting to forever now. just to find an area and practice switching out of 4wd while still accelerating. Seems tricky and risky but I think I'm over thinking it. Lol

 

I don't think you need to at only 60mph.

 

True. I was thinking just a full like quarter mile launch.

I have used 4hi up to ~75mph. So it definitely works for that. Anything above tho.. idk

 

Werty always switched out on the track. Being automatic, it is very easy.
Try switching out with a manual, between shifts. That needed much more practice. Phew. Good thing I plan on being AWD.....

It works on mine. When the AT switch to 3rd gear, i switch back to 2wd.

 

Are you manually shifting through the gears or in "D"?

 

I ran a 8 second with 32" coopers.... I think I'm almost back to stock after adding the tires.. Just installed my urd maf cal I will see if this helps...

 

Tuned in properly, you can pick up between 10 - 15 hp. Not sure how much torque. That will help though.

 

First tune (with about 10-15 tweaks) on the MAF is working good. and I have more accurate data. I recorded video with my sony action cam, had to go to edit mode on the video to get accurate times down to the tenth, 8.04 and 8.10 before and 7.23 after adding the MAF cal and I'm still tweaking the map but I'm real close...

But a solid 8 tenths faster is great and I'm not done tuning and that was after a 70 mile test and tweak drive, mid after noon.

Helps drivability and power at all speeds...

Real time data makes tuning the MAF cal easy....

 

I pulled out of 4hi around 85mph in 3rd gear. The reason I chose 3rd is because 1st and 2nd went by too quickly, and I didn't want it to drop into 2wd right in the middle of a shift. As soon as it drops back to 2wd you can feel the truck pick up speed.

and for the record...I did do a few runs all the way in 4hi when I was first trying this...so Ive gone over 100 mph in 4 hi. But applying brakes when in 4hi at those speeds felt very scary...I would not recommend it

We can see that you're shifting manualy your AT. Do you shift at lower rpm than the AT or you're shifitng later at higher rpm?

 

Shifting at 6200 rpm
