Has anyone taken into account where the cameraman is located? I'm wondering if it could have been picking up someone else's car?

Exactly what he was thinking ^
I never watch racing.... Ever, and I'll say again I DONT BELIEVE HE DID IT ON PURPOSE... I still believe it's not far fetched to think he was screwing around and f'd up. He may have even thought it would be funny or whatever to drive close to him or to throw up some dirt on him... t the fact is someone was killed and an investigation is being conducted.

EXACTLY. Those who keep saying Tony revved his engine are not thinking clearly about the fact that the camera shooting that video was on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TRACK. Thus the engine noise you are hearing is coming from the cars near the camera, not across the entire track.

Good catch there. It does look like Kevin has a grip on the wing. Makes for a few more questions there.

I would hope nascar enforces a rule to keep drivers in their cars under caution, 3 sprint car tracks already have.

How could anyone possibly think that he actually grabbed onto the car at that speed and was able to hold on? Nothing is clear by this video, that's why investigators are looking for more footage.

Interesting slow mo. It's very noticeable that the car moves to the right AFTER the guy grabbed onto it. This is the only video shot I've seen. And I agree with the statement above, only get out of your car if it's on fire. Fights are supposed to take place in the pits. Would have been better off throwing his helmet at the car, not grabbing onto it. Hopefully others will stop and remember this when they are jumping out of their car pissed off.

That's what kills me about all these internet stories ie: stewart kills driver
Nascar star runs over fellow driver kills him and this gem from cnn ... Tony Stewart's profession is driving for millions of dollars a year in NASCAR races, but his hobby is racing against amateurs on dirt tracks for trophies.

You must be one of those idiots that think Tony ran him over on purpose. Have you ever watched a sprint car race before or even heard of a sprint car before this incident?

Agreed OZ, it's an interesting topic and I like to hear what people think. Don't need to get it locked by starting some teenage name calling crap.

Lost in all the resulting fallout of the Tony Stewart – Kevin Ward Jr. tragedy is a report by a fellow driver who was also in Saturday night’s fateful race field and witnessed the incident.
“From what I saw, Tony did everything in his power to turn down away from Kevin to avoid him,” sprint car driver Cory Sparks told Rochester.twc.news.com.
Sparks was a few cars behind Stewart on the racetrack but had a clear field of vision of what occurred, and said that videos that have been made public do not tell the whole story.
“People say that they heard the engine rev up and he gassed it,” Sparks said of Stewart. “In a sprint car, the only way to steer is you steer with the rear wheels as much as you do the steering wheel. In my opinion, what he did was he (Stewart) gassed it to turn down away from him (Ward).”
