Not yet, just gathering parts.

HID's require a warm up time. Reversing is usually an instant thing. Not the best idea IMO. Better off sticking with LED's.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
I don't know that I subscribe to this opinion.

My HIDs turn on instantly and are at full brightness within 3 seconds or so. I don't know that I've ever put my vehicle in reverse and instantly pushed the pedal to the floor. I usually take at least a second before I actually start moving. That's plenty of time for HIDs to warm up enough to output more light than your standard backup lights.

I'm not saying I want reverse HIDs, because I don't, but I think the idea IS feasible.

Hahaha! I hear ya. I rather get some bad ass aftermarket lights for the reverse. Like rigid industries or something like that

Replaced my driver side steering bellows. The boot has been torn for at least 2 months by the amount/type of mud caked in the boot. The inner tierod and ram have some surface rust but no leaks from the rack seals and no play in the inner tierod.

I had the kids move the steering wheel while I checked everything and while the tierods looked good, there was play in the rack bushings so I'll eventually get around to replacing those.

Wanting to debadge the tailgate and possibly put the retro style "TOYOTA" in the center. My questions are...

    1. What's the best way to remove those letters/ numbers?
-would a blow dryer work to heat up the sticky residue?
-after removal would a good wax remove whatever is remaining?

    2. What's the best idea for the "TOYOTA" letters?
-has any one tried taping a stencil on the tailgate and using PlastiDip for the letters?

Mine are cut out of vinyl, I think they came out awesome and all I have to do to get rid of them is peel them off. They have stood up to multiple car washes and you can buy the vinyl by the yard pretty cheap.

For those who have done AALs and axle shims, how the hell do I get out the center pin for the leafs? It comes out a little but just stops and I can't beat it out.

Either your trying to knock it out the wrong way (sorry, I had to:D ) or the leafs still have enough tension are ars gripping the pin.

I agree it's feasible but personally I would hate to have something that doesn't go full brightness the moment I turn it on. I have hid spots and I hate that they require a warm up. Again I think that boils down to personal preference.
