Saw a shifter today that I absolutely love. I have been messing around and thought of putting my switches on my shifter for some time. Was planning to do an interface similar to the BMW and some of the other luxury vehicles with on board interactive computer systems. Then thought to simplify it.

Maybe some thin film buttons on the top of a shifter going into a control box.

Then I saw an old style shifter with a new school twist. Reminded me of my old camaro.

    Hurst Nitro Stick Shifter.

Might call them and see if I can just get the handle not the full arm. But it is not cheap. I do not have the funds for that yet. ~$180

Oh, it is. My plan is to see f they will mill one shorter out of a ROUND stock so I can drill and tap myself. Or if they will if I get them the proper thread description.

My color-matched grille just came in. Plastidipping the toyota emblem red to match the TRD logo on the tailgate. If it looks like ass, ill peel the red and plastidip in black... like everyone else :)

Why not paint? I derped my wheels and it's a lingering regret.

I want to see how it comes out in red or black before I commit to paint. I was actually planning to do glossy red for the front logo.

going to derp the rest of the badges black, though. can't stand chrome.

Gotcha. I'd still either debadge or hit them with scuff paper and shoot them with paint, but thats me. Derp is great in concept and I have 2 1/2 cans in the garage left over but it was no fun for me.

Yeah, I don't like the shade of this red dip. Oh well. Going to paint.

I thought about painting badges, but that will be a whole lot of masking. Not that I mind a little project...

Masking would be fun, but with a sharp razor blade and a toothpick you'd be fine cutting and trimming in small spaces. I like masking, but tedious masking gets old quick and I'm cantankerous sometimes, I'd probably pull the badges off and razor blade off the factory foam tape, then paint and remount with new 3m foam tape. I have the foam tape and I could remove everything, paint and reinstall in the same time as masking I'd think
