You only need the hunter safety course or firearms safety course for a handgun permit to acquire. It's not required for a rifle permit to acquire iaw HRS 134-2. If you were directed otherwise, just print out the HRS and take it in because the officer is wrong.

BTW, I'm a NRA pistol, rifle, and shotgun instructor. If any of you on Oahu are in need of training/certification, I may be able to hook you up.

No BAD lever yet. I'm okay with the standard release, for now. Had to cut costs somewhere. That's also why I'm running an A2 FSB instead of the MBUS right now :)
Yessir :( But I'm still about 20% less than a stock Colt!
Yeah I have the ZKW lenses. But regular sloped shields. I love the TL's and I have always wanted them, so they were worth the work to be, but just barley. If someone isn't 110% set on getting TL's or LS's then I say deffinetly go FX-R. They give you 90% of the performance for 20% of the work, and 60% of the cost.
The newer D2S's are really, really nice, but they still have the two flaws that made me ditch my old ones; 1) they are an open design, so a lot of light will spill behind the shroud, and 2) they are rather small, so they will not handle 55w well.

If it's the hunters class and not too expensive I'll go too. I'd go to pistol again for fun if I could afford it, but not now :/

    I offered :p
If load bearing then at least 1/4" of threads after the nut, if it's not then no need.

LOL! Nate I think Rick is referring to the argument on the MT thread I linked earlier :D
And yeah, I think NAVSEA standard items says 3-4 threads showing minimum. and there is a max, but I forget how much.

we generally followed 2-3, but then again, I just installed a heli-coil into a box with 1-2 usable threads....some of these engineers need to find another job.

maybe after I go back to first shift, only got 4 hours of sleep and its starting to hit me.
