Anyone install the ECGS bushing themselves that would be able to help me or possibly point me to what kind of shop to go to for that? I think I could DIY it, but not sure. Anyone have the tool I could borrow?

Is anyone not going to the RC trip on 09/06 weekend interested in a ~30mile yak and camp trip down the Delaware water gap?
Early sat start, camp, sunday finish.

I made the tool myself. Last I knew, Kevin nj636 has the real tool. It's definitely a diy job but it can be tricky. Read the thread about it until you feel comfortable doing it yourself.

Would be cool, but nope.

I passed the tool along to someone else that needed it. There are quite a few floating around the forum.

Like Josh said, it's a DIY job that can be a little tricky. Most people are intimidated to do the job but just read up on it & have the right tools, you'll do fine.

Judging by the lack of communication I've had with billy, this trip is looking better and better

 

I thought I would share this because it's pretty funny. Last September I had Shore Toyota in Mays landing reseal the oil pan gasket do to it leaking. I call them for the shits and giggles to find out what kind of warranty the have on their repairs. I talked to a guy name Jim and he told me they only garentee their work for 5 months and it would run about $450 to reseal the oil pan again. He also stated $95 of that would be the diagnostic fee. I said so you are charging me $95 dollars to confirm my oil pan is leaking and he said yes. I am done with them anyway. I am going to get some Loctite 518 and fix my self.

 

Still nothing on the bumpers.

 

Wish my kayak was cut out for rushing rivers and white water... Ocean yaks are too big for that crap

Goddamn I would be impressed. Big Dogs looks like a blast but I won't go until I get full skids/lift.

 

I'm down for your trip mike already have off and I'm ready to go. My birthday is the 12th so I'm hoping to have a couple skids by then.

 

LOL...3 knots is not a rushing river... and there are no real rapids on the Delaware. A couple spots with white caps, but thats about it unless they are doing a dam release. If your lucky enough to be there when they do a release then it's a whole new ball game.

You can do 30 in a day up there. We did something like 22-25 one year and got rain out by a monsoon and had to bail on the last leg. I fished part of the way. It is a long trip if the wind is high and current slow.

 

My yak is more boat like. Its 79lbs and a bear to get movin. It works fine , havent dump it yet. Got real close at skinners falls

 

We did 15 miles that day...and it took us 8-10hrs.........the bridge was the half way point or so that's how I remember it after 20 road sodas
