Well, most of these guys were taking preworkouts when it was legal to put meth in them. I didn't start taking them until all that shit was removed, so "intense" for me is Assault lol

Ok I was thinking of grabbing a 65 but maybe I'll try for 75-80 and see how it feels

The most I've ever done is with 100's, but I'd rather do dumbbell shrugs b/c I don't wanna risk dropping one on my toe and I feel it better because I'm focusing on traps, not walking.

    Also, these help:

Shrugs are the ONLY thing I use these for. A lot of people bitch about using these and not having a strong grip, but when I'm trying to shrug 125 lbs per arm, I'm again worried about my traps, not anything else

I'm looking for grip and core strength. I use the smith machine for shrugs

There are these guys here at the gym (about 4 of them); they do NOTHING but chest and arms when they come in, which is about 5 days a week. There's this other guy that comes in who is obviously juicing, but he is cool and he does legs and everything else he's supposed to.

Well, the group of 4 guys were being really loud and bro'ey and the roided out dude walked up and said something along the lines of this, "ya'll are on the bench every fucking time I come in here! As a matter of fact, I distinctly remember coming Monday and Tuesday and ya'll were doing bench and now ya'll are doing bench again today!" Then he walked off and not another word was said by anyone.

    Roid rage FTMFW

Ahhh, then wrist straps would be of no benefit to you, unless you wanted monster traps :D

At the gym I train at we have custom made farmer carry bars... Last time I did them I did 185# per hand and about 100' carry... Turn around and carry back 100'. 3 sets of them. You really SERIOUSLY need to do some real weight. Dumbbells are just not heavy enough. You should be able to farmer carry more than you can DL. Unless of course your DL isn't very high to the point where dumbbells will work - then use dumbbells haha

Try doing a set of heavy dumbbell lunges prior to farmer walks.

i missed all the GIFs earlier :(

you can't get rid of me :p haha the crossfit smack doesn't bother me its to easy to make fun of. i like the crossfit style of workouts but like iv said I'm not a big fan of the "crossfit brand" I'm just forced to be certified and use it or id make half as much money unfortunately. but luckily the new national pro fitness league and grid league which are both "fitness competitions" are starting now so "reebok crossfit" won't be my only option shortly :yay:

i probably do equally as much crossfit as i do OLY lifting and strength training only difference is I'm doing my training toward crossfit for my competitions I'm not the Facebook crossfiter although i will post an occasional PR or workout, but not anymore than the average gym rat

that was before i knew how to use the gas pedal :D

depends on the length honestly iv done as little as 44lb kettle bells but we had to carry them a mile haha did a workout on monday with a 100m farmers carry followed by 50 double unders then switch arms to redo the carry then 50 more double unders...6 rounds my forearms felt jacked after tho haha

i like those a lot for shrugs too. i also use them when I'm doing snatch/clean deadlifts or snatch/clean pulls to save my hands from tearing. there like 10 bucks too can't go wrong with them!
