This^^ I did everything you described as well! I thought about making my own pillar mount but I was able to get it bent pretty much perfectly so I ended up using what was provided.

How did you like getting that top mounting nut on behind the fender?? haha! was a major PITA for me!! ended up getting female with tiny girl hands to get it started for me :D

Mine's still not there lol. I look at the nuts / bolts every day though when I get home and they are still tight. I will feel better once I get the pillar bracket fabbed up.

    yup!

and another thing I added was larger fender washers. I didn't feel like the ones provided were big enough, but that's probably just me being weird.

Skygear I owe you an apology man, I will be 60 next year and I am very old and old school my phone is one step above a flip I would still have a dial phone if they worked and my only means of a computer is this i-pad I'm still learning how to use although I don't have the means to take and show pictures (soon as I learn this i-pad I will) I want you to picture this, just close your eyes and think of one of the badest ass Tacoma's you have ever seen, THAT'S MINE.

you guys just need to go to a meet. Get a local to grab some photos and some tutorials on how to use your electronics. Get one to buy One of these and then Video the whole thing.

I don't need a tutorial anymore, and I can use electronics just fine. :p

What size hose clamp is needed for putting the ram on the main snorkel? Trying to save the link to the correct size on the DavadMotorsports site that Matt linked a page back.

I believe a 4" would be perfect. From what I have been reading, the inlet/ exterior is 3.5"-3.75" - Not sure.

I'll grab a couple once I get things sorted on this build I'm working on.

The OD of the tophat installed is approximately 3.75".
