Sorry guys, I have been busy with other crap and haven't had a chance to update the trail list.

Like Mike said, we are going to leave the itinerary more "open", since neither of us want to assume a leadership role and have plans that are set in stone (since it tends create unnecessary stress).

We have a good amount of trails planned and marked on the map, so once we hit the Moonrocks area or maybe once we establish camp, we can plot our next move as a group.

    TRAILS ON THE LIST:
Manastash Ridge - this seems to be accessible from Moonrock/Funny Rocks area, and also from the Kaner Flats trail. It also connects to other trail systems on the North side of the ridgeline (Shoestring/String/Tripod Flats). We will likely hit this in succession with other trail systems
Kaner Flats - this one is rated More to Most Difficult, with some extreme off-camber spots that we may elect to bypass. This also connects to other trails that we can hit (Lilly Pond, Milk Creek)
Mud Springs - this is a longer trail system on the West side off Hwy 410, and will likely take a good chunk of the day to complete. We can also stop off at the Little Bald Mtn. lookout tower for lunch/pics etc. We were planning on hitting the Boulder Caves once we finish the trail, but since it is now closed we can figure out an alternative once we are finished.
Raven's Roost - this trail relatively easy, but it is the farthest North from the other trails. There is a lookout tower, and Huckleberry campground nearby that we might scout. It might be fun to hit this while we are trying to find a good camp spot, as it is also close to the Little Naches, Longmire, and Crow Creek campgrounds

We also have a few trails near Rimrock off of Hwy-12 that we might hit on the way back into town. Rimrock/Ahtanum trails - these have not been thoroughly mapped/explored by the NWJeepn guys, but many of them are on my map so we can explore the region and see what we think. We will be passing Lynn Lake as we pass over Bethel Ridge, says there is good fishing there and a primitive campground.

Whistlin Jack will be the nearest/surest place for water. I have about a dozen water bottles, 2.5 gallons in a rotopax, and I have an MSR Miniworks if it gets bad (likelihood being very small).

I have a ton of water. 7 gallons potable and a case of bottles. Anyone mind me throwing a steak on their cooking device? My stove is about 1600 miles away and I rather not buy a spare ;)

I have a feeling we will have a surplus of stoves.

Well guys we are currently in Packwood. Got down to Stevenson last night and started up the WABDR and camped. Just got into Packwood, it's raining currently which kinda sucks. We will camp around here and see you guys in the morning to at least meet up.

Glad you made it up without issue, Joe. Look forward to meeting up in the morning! Sounds like the rain may make it less dusty. How was the first leg of the drive?

Was pretty good. Weather started out much better when we shoved off around 7 this morning. Had some great views of Mt. Good and Adams. We maintained a pretty good clip and felt like we made good time. Stopped at a couple lakes. Looking to find a lake to fish tomorrow if possible. Got darker as we got closer to Packwood and started raining. Currently in a dive bar drinking a couple beers trying to wait out the weather.

I just had family surprise me today and I won't be attending this one. I was all ready and packed. Kinda sucks and I was egging them on to go camping. They didn't want to go. They just flew in from Hawaii. I might meet up in the morning just to put face to name.

Woo, I had a close call today. My drivers side UCA ball joint started making clunking sounds. I could also see it move when I grabbed a wheel and shook. I was thinking that was definitely the sign I wasn't driving this trip until I remembered I had a spare! I got them swapped by early evening and its all good again.

Will is going to be late as well. His wheel fell off while driving - he is waiting for a tow, then needs a new rotor and lugs :(
