Not sure if you've got the design figured out yet but are you planning on using the stock axle? And is it gonna be double triangulated 4link or single? Sorry just curious. Getting ideas together as well. Gonna do a tube bed first though

preliminary plan is to use a single triangulated with a panhard. that allows me to keep the low COG of the stock fuel tank, and not take up bed space.

it'll be the stock axle, but heavily trussed.

Wess, disregard the my post from earlier. i was rushing to a meeting and wasn't realy paying attention to what i was typing. the stock fuel tank will hold true, but that's it.

It will not actually be a triangulated setup. current plans are to have paralelle lowers, a single (paralelle) upper on the exhaust side of the driveshaft, and a panhard. I'm toying with the idea of scrapping the panhard for a watts linkage, but haven't worked out the geometry yet, or looked into what parts i'd use.

coilovers will likely be mounted to the axle, as a trailing arm that can support a coilover, would likely kill my ground clearance.

there will also be an antirock swaybar somewhere in the mix.

i'm counting 4, but i know most people refer to it as a 3 nowadays. a true 3 link would be like what you see on land rovers. where when the lower links attach to the axle, there are two points of attachment, instead of one. that prevents the axle from rotating on itself, thus eliminating the upper link. all you need after that is a panhard or watts. they i've always heard that referred to as a 3 link, not a 2 link.

that'd be fun, and definitely a cool thing to have, but there's a lot more that goes into setting those up well. since i'm boulding a tube bed at the saem time, it's not an issue to integrate shock towers into it.

Time, here's what their lower links look like, in case you've never been under a land rover. two attachment points at the one end keep the axle free of rotating. panhard is all that is left. extremely simple setups, that performs pretty darn well.
