Could you trim the organizer to fit the vault interior? Also, how much usable interior space do you give up with the vault?

Love my organizer but security of certain items in my console is a big concern of mine...

You probably could, but I think that it would be hard to use the furthest forward/rearward sections due to the height of the dividers and the "ceiling" of the vault. If that makes sense?

I don't think there is much space given up, per say, but the vault "top" covers up a lot of area, so it hinders things a bit. Again, if that makes sense?

For me, it is an acceptable trade off. I can now, IMO, safely keep a handgun in the truck at all times, as well as safeguard my dashcam, and various gear, without worry of theft.

As far as I can tell, a thief would have to put forth a LOT of effort to destroy/remove the safe. It is also suppose to prevent any prying open attempts. I have no emperical data to prove otherwise, but I do strongly feel that it would take a LOT of effort to remove or break open this safe.

Got a tool box at a little over half off from lowes today. It is hanging up in the garage drying where I painted it black.

Got the kobalt slim box. Had to drill one hole on each side to use the j hook method but at 75.00 I don't mind two small holes.

How much space (height) atop the fault when you close the console lid?

Not sure how, but the screws in my right fog light backed out and the fog light was just strugglin to stay in. Put in some temp screws until I can pick up more at the dealer tomorrow.

I drove it to the gun range ... it had to sit in the parking lot.

Relocated my front tag holder. Did not want it rubbing off the bumper end scratching the paint.
