Took my tacoma and atv camping up in south inlet wilderness area near Kokadjo this weekend. Great atv trails too.

Any good cheap camping areas up there still? I remember going up when I was young (Younger to some). My parents and a bunch of other people use to be able to find pretty much a pit on the side of a dirt road and just set up camp. Then we would ride four wheelers all day saturday. Half day sunday and come home sunday evening. I have recently been told that its not allowed to do that anymore. I basically just want to load up the truck and the girlfriend and go up north for the weekend. You know, real camping.

South inlet wildedness area in kokadjo maine is only 15 bucks a night but you have to bring hour own water in. Nice sites with one outhouse. There are trails right outside of the campground. Good fkshing too on 1st roach pond.""

How's it going everyone. I got stationed in New Haven, CT a few months ago. So not too far down the road. Figured I'd stop in and say hey.

Try and get the campsite they call raven's nest. Right on the water. Bring in everything you need. I stop at indian hill in greenville before heading in.

Probably a solid plan. I hear if you blab that they stick you in a torpedo tube, dive down below the thermocline, and launch you.

Damn. Must be a pretty crappy job if death by extreme water pressure is preferable...

I'll be heading up to Maine at the end of Sept. for my dad's memorial party. Gonna take a few extra days off and head up to camp near Kokadjo and do a little bird hunting the following week. Totally worth putting the miles on the taco to get up in the fresh air, I can't wait.
