After your first 1911, all money looks like spare money.

It might start with a Springfield, maybe a Ruger or Colt, then it begins. Your screen savers and dreams.will be given names, like Ed Brown, Les Baer, Bill Wilson. You'll be enchanted by Nighthawks, Caspian builds, and ivory grips. You will discover and join Louder Than Words and life as you know it will be swiftly changed. You'll name your kids Ned Christiansen and Virgil Tripp. You'll begin to despise Massad Ayoob, and your ammunition purchases will be hundreds of pounds, not hundreds of rounds.

1911s give no fucks. You will feed them, keep them happy and allow them to multiply.

Yes and you'll take fancy pictures of your 1911 with a makeshift photo booth in your home.

I also have XDtactical 45acp OD, and XD sub40 OD, and TRP full rail operator 1911, may have to get a SOCOM II as well, dunno if I will have any money left soon. Especially since I just put a vacation on my CC for next year.

Possibly. I like those but I'm more curious why you decided to switch to the Viking thimble. You have the Factor 55 on craigslist huh?

Going to be building an AR soon. I'll be getting my lower over Memorial Day weekend and an upper from Palmetto State Armory soon after that. Should be looking at about 600 all together. I'm getting a complete lower with a JP Enterprises trigger in it for 200 :)

Basically it's eliminating a link in the chain, the thimble attaches to the prolink, which attaches to a shackle than To a tow rope.

With the viking thimble it replaces the thimble on the winch line which will attach to a shackle and then rope.

The only downside, although it's not much of one is that you have to untie and re splice the synthetic line around the new thimble, but I'm pretty certain I can handle it.

    No it's not on craigslist.

Makes sense. Funny the Viking thimble is half the cost of Factor 55

For those that have gotten married, how much beer did you buy for your reception? We have about 150 people and only serving beer, wine and champagne. 4 kegs or more? Thinking of going with Coors Light and maybe something else, but not sure what.
