I thought so too. Not bad for an $80 cam and for driving (kinda) into the sun. The night quality isn't as good, but still acceptable. I'll toss a link up for a night vid soon.

Please do. I've been looking for one for way to long. Most look horrible but yours is the first I like that's not expensive.

had mine up and running for a few months now. very happy with it. have it hard wired, so it turns on and starts recording when i turn the key. you can set video file durations. i have mineset for 15 minutes, meaning every 15 minutes, it starts a new file, making sorting through videos a lot easier. it then loops over the old stuff when the card is full. shoots crytstal clear HD

It also has an accelerometer built in, and when it feels a substantial sudden jolt, from an accident or something else, it locks the video 30 secons prior to, and 30 seconds after the occurance, so when it records over old files, the locked files will still remain.

has a motion sensor, so that when it's turned off, when it senses close by motion, it activates and records. great if break-ins are common around you.

gps data logs (optional). plug in the small gps reciever, and it logs a gps file with each video file to show where you went. i haven't installed the software to view the files yet, but they appear on the memory card, so in theory it's working.

also comes with a second, smaller camera. it is intended to be sued as a rear camera, and records to the memory card in the main camera. i've opted to place this one inside the vehicle, in hope that if someone were to break into my truck, it would capture their face.

i think that's about all of the features......

    Camera
    [IMG]

    back side
    [IMG]

    Everything it comes with:
    Camera
    auxilary camera
    assortment of mounting options
    gps antenna
    data cable
    power supply
    [IMG]

    how i have it installed:
-gps antenna attached to top, and double sided tape to secure it in front of the rear view mirror
    -power cord on side
    -aux camera on side
    [IMG]

took abart the voltage regulator/charger and soldered two wires to it in place of the cigarette charger tip, so i could hard wire it to the IG1 fuse and hid all wires behind the dash/head liner.

Here's a test video i took right after i got it.

I have the Mobius as well, and I love it. As long as you can power it, it works. Am hoping to get an hardwired power option when I buy my next vehicle as the giant mini-usb wire and lack of outlet is starting to bother me. Otherwise I love the size and quality.

    Not enough...
I want a recording unit with an external camera (or two). Then perma-attach a camera next to the rear view mirror and forget about it and have recording unit just sit in my armrest of glove compartment.

I also want it to record 1080p.

I need to stop wanting things. haha

Nice man. I want this, so if someone decides to bump into my truck when it's parked and they leave, I can catch those bastards.

assuming they bump into the front of your truck. motion sensor is only on the front camera.

I have a subwoofer. When the bass hits it tries to adjust I assume. Not much I can do about that.

I have a Cobra CDR810 works great. it is mounted on my windshield and plugs into the cig-lighter. turns on when I start my truck and shuts off when I turn it off. Comes with 8gb of memory but I upgraded to 32gb. When the memory fills it erases the oldest file and then records the next segment. Holds up to 276 mins of recordings. One good thing is each file is only about 5 mins long so they don't become huge files.
