lots cheaper, but more time consuming. can change a preassembled wheel bearing in a half hour. first time I pressed one, it took almost 2 hours. granted, there were some unforeseen hickups.

 

There is always the idea:

Summon TW members, entertain them, feed them, pay for someone to buy them mas beer. = shit will get done.

 

No one in my area wanted to help me with my front diff bearing... :/

 

That's my plan for doing my AAL and rear shocks.. Haha I'm always down to help I just haven't done much wrenching by myself so I don't know a whole lot. I guess I could always just hold things and watch lol

You are asking for a specific area NO ONE in NJ lives... All of us are further south and within 45 min-1 hour from eachother...

Dunno how much it costs but I am pretty sure he is rather cheap... Shipping is QUICK and Kevin is INSANELY helpful

 

Eh, I know some of the guys in here sell the complete hub assembly, but I'm looking at doing just the hearing itself, which is aroun $20-30 last time I did one

 

Hell if he's in south jersey you could meet him there or somewhere in less than 3hrs and be supporting a TW member..road trip

 

Yeah, I'd replace the whole thing cause it's easier and new parts ftw, but will probably be fine either way

 

Yeah, it depends though on what I find when I start taking things apart, for all I know it could be a completely different part causing the problem

Dont know.every since I put my 32in 10ply tires on cant tell tire noise or bearing noise I need to check mine

 

Jack it up and grab and wiggle them tires. That's how I knew my driver side bearing had gone bad and that it groaned bad when turning right

 

I somehow missed this but yeah they are all auto's if you have a V8 and all double cabs are V8 even 2wd ones, I personally would love a stick shift but I wasnt about to chop this thing up and spend 1K on an adapter.

 

So the clutch didn't happen today, instead I was called into work...

Well, no play on the wheel, I guess this means that fix is gonna be more involved than I thought....
