Why am I getting this much front lift with 5100s and 884?

    yeah, a bumper and winch will prob bring it down to where you want it.

    i have 884/OME on a 4.0 DCSB, bumper, winch, and i got a little more than 2.5" on the front.

    I don't think DSM will take my 884s back.

    Will The Icon 3 leaf AAL at least level my truck?

    Question for someone other than me. But I bet those 884s would sell quickly if you swap to 883s. You can go either way.

    I don't want to take apart the front end again. 2.5-3" isn't bad in the front, but my 265/75/16s look a little small for it.

    I'm just debating whether I should install the AAL and std length 5100s or return the AAL and shocks and buy Dakars and extended travel 5100s.

    Engage Long Travel 6 over with race spindles. 2.5x8 sway a ways wrapped in King Coils.
    Off topic but what is your tire and wheel set up? Size?

    I wouldn't want to go 33" without regearing.

    Wheelers is 20 miles away from me. I'm going to see about picking a pair up today.

    Will Bilstein 5100 extended travel shocks work with Dakars? I have the standard height ones. I think I'll exchange them.

    Doesn't seem right. I ran 885s with a winch and bumper and got barely 2" of lift.
    You can just don't over extend / flex lol. I'd go with the OME shocks if you plan to run the dakars.

    you're right.
    just measured it now and it's sitting only at 2". i went back and checked an old photo with measurements and it was about 2.5" at the time with nothing on the front. i must have measured it again right after the install because it hadn't gone down that much. i have a warn zeon and custom bumper that is pretty light but after a few years it's settled to where i want them.

    if you check out OZ-T's thread on dakar measurements, those are also different for everyone.

    I have 884s with a DCSB V6 OME lift and I got 2 1/4 2 1/2" of lift after settling with stock wheels....

    Billy 5100 level lift (0.85" front) White/Amber DRL/Signal Kit GTA Car kit for AUX/IPod Satoshi Grill 2x 20" LED Light bars behind grill HID headlights LED Taillgihts LED interior lights.
    I've been in contact with Toytec over the past week and a bit and their advise was that to do an AAL on the rear was that 5100's would be a touch to short. My truck is due at Toyota this wednesday for the frame rust recall and once I find out what is going ot happen with that I am going to go Boss rear shocks and 10 leaf replacement pack as well as 5100's up front with an Eibach coil.

    You went with 5100 in front. No point in blowing the big bucks for Icon in the back.

    Toytec suggested OME with 884 and higher. 5100 recommended for 883s. Both assuming set at 0, but can't say why that's their opinion
