Why am I getting this much front lift with 5100s and 884?

    No offense OP, but in other threads, I have tried explaining to people that mixing springs and shocks doesn't make sense to me. Go with what works and what is made to work together.

    For the rear, I would recommend Dakars and the nitro charger shocks.

    Mixing shocks wasn't my plan. I bought 5100s fronts and backs, LR UCAs, 3 leaf AAL, and 884 coils. I thought I would get 2" of lift and and the ability to get a perfect alignment lift for a total of $1100.

    I got about 3.125" of front lift with 5100s at zero and 884 coils.

    That doesn't sound right at all. OP are coils labeled with the sticker that says 884x on them?

    Well, DSM said they would exchange the AAL and 5100s for Dakars and OME shocks by crediting me the the price I paid and having me pay the extra for the new stuff.

    I went to Wheelers today for the first time and bought bushings, U-bolts, and a carrier bearing drop kit. I wish I knew they were only 20 miles from my house before I bought from DSM.

    Now I just have to wait for the AAL and 5100s to get to San Diego and for the new parts to get back here.

    Okay, lift complete, and I'm very happy so far. I'm yet to take it off road, though. I'm sure it'll do well.

    I know you are a 4 cylinder, but I'm wondering how much the 884s are going to give me lift wise (Have them sitting in the garage). I have a 4x4 AC v6

    How much heavier is the 4.0?

    I'm about 2.75" higher than stock in front.

    Thanks guys! I'm really happy with how it turned out. My next mod will be a cap. I know, I know, it won't look as good, but I need to be able to travel with my dogs and be able to lock up gear while hunting.

    After the shell I might do some headers or a supercharger. I don't know.

    22.875", that's about 2.5"-2.75" of front lift. I've gone about 500 miles and 30 minutes of mediocre wheeling. I'm not sure if it'll settle anymore. The back is about 1.25" higher than the front.
