I have about a dozen large diesel generators at work that use Optima's, as well as two yellow tops and a red top in the taco, and two yellow tops in my RV. I also used them in the Army for ten years in all kinds of equipment. I have had some minor issues with the newer ones with the "made in mexico" sticker on them, but nothing serious. One of the yellow tops on the RV was dead as a doornail (left a light on) and I recharged it on the 10 amp setting. It got hot after a few hours and hyrdogen was boiling out of it. Luckily it didn't grenade, but that was kinda my fault. I let it cool and trickle charged it and it's fine, although it doesn't hold 13.8V like it used to. The other issue was using a red top in series with a yellow top to weld all of the tabs and brackets on my new axle. I welded for almost an hour straight, and the readywelder was drawing some serious amps. The red top side post couldn't keep up, and it blew out. Obviously also my fault. Other than that, I have seen one yellow top just up and die on an offroad trip on the Mojave Trail. It was in a mid travel truck that was keeping up with my LT truck for about 80 miles of whoops. It had a rough life.

So yours are used and abused lol

I'm not talking about the older Optimas, I said in my post the newer ones suck and people only buy them because they say Optima on them.

When researching a dual battery setup for my Hoe-Runner, I came across a decent amount of negative reviews for the Optima lineup, which made me sway toward the DieHard product line. I currently have a DieHard as my main battery, but will be adding a second deep cycle to run my light bars, compressor, winch, and some interior 12v through an inverter so I can charge my phone or whatever without draining my cranking battery.

That red top is three months old, all of my personal batteries are fairly new, within a few years and I haven't had any issues with them that I wouldn't have with any other battery. I do have three batteries on my truck. Two yellow tops dedicated to the welder, and one red top for starting. I do carry jumper cables in case I need to use three batteries for welding 1/2" - 3/4" thick steel.

Just a word to anybody on here, I have step bars that were given to my by Kolt (Pepsimankolt). I was going to give them to Jose (Aztecs), but just heard he bought some. I will be in greater Seattle area (Everett, Lynnwood). Leaving to head west soon, and heading back east Saturday afternoon/evening. Best bet is to text or call me. 4257606198. I don't think I will have much internet access.

Guess I have a stock front suspension too if anybody wants. Very low miles. It was Izzy's previously before he became a baller.

Some fucker stole my parking spot in Kodiak.. Debated cutting his dock lines; opting for a firm " you need to move, instead"..

Took this before I left the cannery this evening, It's the boat I'm captaining.

Been up since 6 AM yesterday...

My parents rented a cabin on it this weekend. I'm not really sad though. Long ass drive, plus my parents have 5 foster kids, and my brother and I don't get along.
