Thanks for the visual. Sounds like something Jay would say from Clerks.

Around here its ok to write your plate on paper or cardboard. Put stolen somewhere on it, and stick it in the back window. Till you get a new one issued. Make sure to pick up some anti-theft screws when you get a new one.

Saw it today, Z71 4x4 extended cab, maroon auto with aftermarket h/u flip up touch screen thing, and the front torsion bars are keyed up and leveled the truck. Cpl dents. Looks nice enough, a lot smaller inside than I thought. 5 banger and auto trans. Has some 31" falken's that look like an AT. Nice rig for 10k

Hope it keeps in one piece, this fucking kid is Midas except everything turns to shit

Is it the 5 banger that likes to eat valves all the time?

I originally considered a Colorado/Canyon before the Tacoma. I was a fan of the older S-10 ZR2, but I was having trouble finding one in good shape. I was disappointed I couldn't get a V6 (though later they did have a V8), and couldn't get stick unless I got the 4 banger.

It's not worth 10k. He paid way too much unless my sister got a killer deal on hers. I don't get why GM made them 5 bangers. They have always been that way too since they switched from the S10. Could have gotten a lot more out of them if they were a v6.

    They had V8 S10s? 5.7s? Or 5.0? 5.3? 6.4? ;)

Never heard of that beast, that'd be a blast to drive. Thought the only 8 was Syclone

    Nope. V8 Canyons/Colorados. The Cyclone/Typhoon was a turbo V6.

I don't know the mileage, or trim level on them, but he has cloth and standard dash treatments. I'll check KBB when i see it again tomorrow at dinner. I am having a harder time figuring out why he's paying 230/mo on 10k of truck. I hope that isn't a 5 year loan for 10k car, which puts actual cost just under 14k.

Wish he'd paid cash and saved instead of financed at 10k.

Haha thanks for straightening me out. Can't imagine a V8 in his truck, but that'd be pretty sweet I bet. 31s and leveled looks real nice on his rado

My roommate has an 05 z71 crew cab Colorado that is worth about $8k kbb. Much less than a comparable taco would go for.

The S-10s came with a 4 banger and a V6. The Colorado/Canyon came with a 4-banger and 5-banger, and from 2009-2012, had an available 5.3L V8. The Hummer H3 was based on the same frame/drivetrain.
