Why do you think we love our country so much? I just drove 6 hours from the capital city and there wasn't a soul for over 100km lol. This is why Canada is fucking awesome. 35 million people 3.85 Million square miles of land.

My truck goes in tomorrow for service on this, and to get the trans. fluid flushed. They said they'll need my truck for 3 days, so I'm hoping the weekend will do it, or I'm driving a Corolla for a few days.

Today I went to pick up my truck at the dealership, after completing the CRC application. I noticed they had not install any plugs on they frame, so I had the service manager come out and look at it. After looking at it, he went back inside to get a technician. The technician went under my truck and installed some plugs. He didn't install any plugs on the frame under the wheel wells, so i ask him, why he didn't and he said "they don't need plugs". Should the 5 plugs ( 2 rectangular and 3 round plugs) under each of the front wheel wells be included in the CRC application? I noticed that the newer Tacomas all come with those plugs.

I also asked the service manager if Toyota extended the warranty on the frame to 15 years, from the date it was purchased and he said that there is no warranty extension on my 2006 truck.

I went in for a servicing a few months back and was told they checked the frame when it was In there and it passed so they said to make an appointment to have it coated. I brought it in 2 days ago and picked it up tonight. To be honest I was t real impressed. I'm hoping the coating hardens up a little bit because it was pretty wet still. I'm going to check it in the morning and if it hasn't started to set up I'm going to call the dealership and ask what's up.
There was overspray on the hood and a film on the windshield. My brother had his 2001 done and he said that they left a note in his truck that said to wash it with simple green to get it off. You would think they could at least wash the truck for you.

I agree, under my door handle there was a black smudge, from the technician opening the door I bet. I was told by the service manager, to not wash the truck for 3 months.

It looks like they just slapped it on there. There was some on my brand new bfg's and in my brand new bilsteins. I guess I don't have to worry about that spot on my tire rusting.

Do you know if they installed plugs on your frame when they applied the CRC application?

I just glanced under it this morning but did not see any plugs in the back "C" channel portion I didn't go under an check the boxed portion I'll check and repost later when I go out for lunch.

I have a 2" lift in mine with the bilsteins and they did not mention anything about it so I am assuming it doesn't matter about a lift. Unless they just didn't notice it because it was only a 2" lift.

Just FYI. On my 2012 I looked over /behind the front wheels and the frame does have plugs (2 or 3 per side?). I did not check the rest of the chassis. As Toyota put these on the newer trucks (i.e. improvement for the rust issue). I'd think that "Toyota Corp" would include the dollars worth of plastic Plugs. Oh Well. Elsewhere there is a thread with a part number sheet for the plugs/sizes. I think I'd ask the Dealer Service manager, check the posted inspection and repair docs, and /or just buy them and install them myself. I'd be careful not to plug any holes that act as gravity drain holes.

If you look at the technical documents provided by dogaminator earlier in this thread, you will see that the kit provided to the dealer is supposed to contain 28 plugs that are supposed to be installed in the frame, and verified. Seems like dealers are not doing what Toyota is telling them to do.

    Of course not.

I wish they supplied the paperwork on what is supposed to be done, so we as consumers can say hey this shit ain't right.
