I guess I don't really know....I've been practicing standing in the kayak and I'm fairly confident I can shoot while standing on it. Lights? I guess I didn't think that through very much. Can you not bowfish in the daytime?

I ust to go bowfishing in my bass boat all the time. We used a car battery and a hand held spot light and shot a lot and I mean a lot of fish. One person would run the light and trolling motor while 2 others would shoot on the front deck and a third on the back deck.
I dont really think going alone in a yak would be fun or productive.
My main lake was Grapevine. Start at Meadowmere or the dam and work our way around to Twin Creeks. Also had a lot of luck on Whitney. There were a lot of coons on the bank at Whitney one night. Glad we had a shotgun in the rod box.

All the water around us has fish in it. If I was you I'd find a little local river to put in at and float down it. Trinity would work also. The real fun is night time though.

Okay thanks for the input guys. I guess I'll just have to see about this. I'll just have to give it a shot at some point to see how it'll play out.

If you want to go at night bring a buddy to run a spot light off of a battery

That would work if he was straight. It is time we quit being bigots towards our LGBT community and accept them.

Kase... I understand you are in a college town full of young women away from home for the first time and cannot find anything to do. Maybe you could buy a gaming system?

A few things come to mind.
    Go build a big fire
Go to the campus and start walking across the grass.

There's only one area of grass that is off limits and it's not very big.

When did Marines start following rules? Is this some of that "new Corps/no showing up drunk to PT/no hazing" BS that Amos brought in?

Lots of chicks. The most fun stuff is for 21+... If you like golf, there's some good courses. you could go to lake bryan, but that place is pretty nasty. There's really not a ton of stuff to do there.

No I typically do whatever the fuck I want. I had Conway though. That dude wasn't too bad. He came and saw our BN in afg and its was about 15 degrees out. He walked out and said "At ease! Hey Devils, if it's cold out, put your hands in your fucking pockets! That's why we have them." The "new corps" is for the birds man. I have buddies still in that hate all the changes.

As far as walking across the grass, it's part of a memorial originally intended for aggies that died in combat. Which means my name could just as easily be carved on the wall. So I have respect for that.

You can go to all the bars, just can't drink alcohol. There are tons of concerts all over CS pretty regularly. Mostly TX country.
