    The HD here has maybe 2 cashiers at any time and they're slow and have no clue. 10 cashiers who are slow and have no clue would be no fun, self check FTW.

    The same as grocery stores and Walmarts. More bang for their buck to make the customer do all the work. It actually costs the customer more because they can't do it as fast and you have to calculate your time into checking out.
