Well it's been a morgue around here lately & quite honestly, I didn't think anyone would even notice Alex.....

 

I hear ya, I haven't been very active here either (13.5+ hr work days), but I think the heat has turned us into lazy folks. Luckily we get to escape to the beach unlike the rest of them to the east.

 

Haha yep, I'm so happy to finally get my truck back together I wont bitch about the heat....or at least as much anyway

 

Hey next time you hit the trail you let me know because I've been itchin' to hit some 4x stuff and I will gladly pay for gas and am a good spotter too.

 

Sure thing buddy, yeah I'm just about ready for a little shake down, Monday is smog/registration, tues-fluid change outs, yeah in about a week , I'll def let you know

 

Ah crap, I forgot I have to pay reg on my car and truck plus go in for smog on my car which I hope passes. Gah dang commiefornia and their gah dang hippie laws.

 

Don't even trip on it, I'll take your ass for ballast...seriously, I need weight on pass side for those tippy moments..

Not really. I used to use the guy by my house. His sister or aunt still runs it but the actual worker is different. Never really have gotten a "hook up" on anything from her for smog, labor, or parts. She remembers me but they seem to do the check by the book. Even brought the pressure machine out to check the gas tank. He used to run the sniffer and if it passed you passed. They don't even do free rechecks unless they do work to get it to pass.

Let me introduce you to "Martha". She is a 2000 Tacoma 4x4 w/2.7L and 5 speed. She has a full cage, TC kit in front, and has an F67 62" kit ready to go on for the rear. Running an 8" single coil-over up front and 18" triple by-passes in the rear. I kept all the LED lights from my old truck so they will be going on soon too.

I drove her to La Jolla this weekend after getting here and valet parked her at a schwanky hotel. The look on their face was priceless.

Wow nice matt! IMO the 1st gen trucks seem to be a little tougher in general, all it needs now is an LS1! Haha..

 

For a designated toy I just like that they are smaller.
