Going to order a 2015 Tacoma Pro - got one of those PDF Toyota Dealer Daily Printouts from the dealer showing what it on the truck.

Doesn't mention whether it is set up with the Tow package - ie oil cooler, wiring, etc.

Receiver hitch IS an accessory option Port Installed at $550 and NOT Included.

Just trying to make sure that it will have the Tow Package and that they are not just slapping a hitch on it...

    Anyone know??

Because the Pro's are built using a TRD off-road as a base it would absolutely SHOCK me if it doesn't have the towing package, but at this point you may be right.. I would not order one until you get the answer to that - I can tell you when you go to the configurator the same 550$ option shows up on TRD off road which comes with the tow package already so it may just be a freak issue...

does the PDF not mention the tow rating or anything else?

No Mention of towing at all - this is just the printout from the dealer based on the Vin of the vehicle not a catch all brochure - so it basically lists a General overview and Port Installed Optional Equipment.

if Toyota removed the towing package componnents from the Pro, that would just frankly piss me off - the 2014 TX pro Baja which is a pro with out a hood scoop has the towing package.

I did ask the dealer but they didn't know and will check with Toyota - so who knows if they will actually figure it out any time soon.

tell him to stick it if you are using truck to tow. You will want the package and not just hitch. $550 is a big time ripoff for the hitch. I bet I could order for $200 max.

Wow.. all I can hope is that is NOT true... that is absurd.

It SHOULD come with the tow package AND the TRD supercharger.... All the more reason Im happy I bought my 2014 baja pro when I did lol.

I'm fairly certain they are incorrect. As others have noted, it's built from the V6 TRD Off Roads, which are almost all bundled with Tow Package.

I'll cancel my order if it doesn't have the 6500# tow package.

Sure looks like tow package to me. Would have a hard time believing toyota would not include it on their top of the line model. Dealers are generally ignorant, I knew more about both my trucks at purchase than they did.

Well the receiver hitch isn't on all the pro's - it is a $550 port installed option - that I know for a fact.
It's the rest of the tow package I am curious about.

How do you know that isn't an error on the early spec sheets?

It is an option as I have seen actual Printouts of the vehicles with VIN #'s already assigned - under OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT some models have the Receiver Hitch listed with a cost of $550 and some do not. So that part is an option and not included in the $37415 Base Package (before destination) on the Tacoma Pro DoubleCab Automatic.

Can someone show me ANY offroad delivered that does NOT have the tow package? You cannot even configure an SR5, Sport, or OR without the tow package according to the dealer configurator for 2015. all of those packages include the tow pacakge

V6 Tow Package 21: Class-IV towing receiver hitch, transmission (automatic transmission only) cooler, engine oil cooler, 130-amp alternator, heavy-duty battery, 7-pin connector with converter and Trailer-Sway Control (TSC) 22 [TO]

now even though you select that it lets you ADD the $550 "accessory" trailer hitch - which is crap because you'd be paying for a hitch that is already included.

My money is on it being included and the dealer being retarded.

in fact the $550 hitch is only a class 3 hitch with a max of 5000lb rating, so again still on the dealer being retarded.
