Hey everyone, I posted this in the CO BS Thread, but thought I'd share it here too. My Tacoma was stolen last night from my driveway. I'm located in the Denver area, so if anyone sees this truck driving around, please let me know. It had a TRD exhaust, bed cover, FJ rims, roof rack, and a KU Jayhawk logo on the rear window. Insurance and police have already been notified. Insurance has stated if they don't find it within 2 weeks they will proceed with a total loss claim.

Here are a couple pictures, in case anyone spots it:

Also, what's the plate number? Doubt the plate would still be on there, however, criminals aren't exactly the smartest.

Yeah, that's my hope is that the unique things help it be found. Although I'm relatively confident it's either gone from the area or being stripped right now. There was no glass shattered, which makes me think this was someone relatively good at what they were doing.

768NQV, I should have included that earlier. Good catch.

That would be pretty easy to spot, I've only seen a few 2nd gens running FJ 17s.

I'm downtown and will keep an eye out for her. Best of luck! My condolences on your misfortune :(

I'd tell you how easy they are to get started, but then 'someone' would call me out while calling me a liar and want me to tell everyone exactly how to do it and say it's very difficult because they don't know. :D

Oh and good luck OP! Hopefully just some kids on a joyride.

What you haven't watched movies before?

Step 1. Reach under the steering column and rip out a bunch of wires.
Step 2. Cross 2 wires together (no need to guess. correct wires will come out with ends stripped of insulation). You may need to touch them a few times for better results.
    Step 3. Profit.

Hope you find your truck. Sometimes thieves will use a tow truck. If they did they were probably in the area scoping it out ahead of time.

Thanks everyone. I didn't have any aftermarket alarm on the truck, but it was locked with the windows up. We will see if it pops up somewhere, but I'm not too hopeful.

Damn. Sorry to hear this. My eye always notices the white, 2nd gen double cabs (it's what I have), so I'll be extra observant around the area.

Pueblo to Colorado Springs M-F, I'll keep an eye out. Sorry for your loss, but that truck is probably in Chihuahua by now.

Update: Talked to insurance (State Farm), and they will be giving consideration to my accessories if it ends up totaled, which is good to know. I have to wait 2 weeks, which would be just after Labor Day, in order to begin the claims process. But from what the person explained to me, it sounds like I should expect a pretty decent payout.

Update: Truck has been found. Police found it in a parking lot with the guy who stole it laying in the bed. It has a flat front tire, one of the wheels is gouged, and it is covered with weed and barbecue sauce in the interior. But, it's recovered. Pics to follow later today when I recover it.
