well they are going on the back burner, after spending a good portion of the day yesterday tearing apart the truck to change out the Clutch assembly. Took it for a drive today and there is a rattling coming from the front of the transmission internally. Its going to the shop to get checked/reinstalled because that was a huge PITA.

Needless to say, this trip got expensive FAST and I'm done with offroading for the season, I need to rebuild my finances before going and breaking it again lol.

I've been following your issues but haven't had time to respond.
I have the Eibach 630's, and since I too had the 5lb pound stock bumper and cover for a while before getting the ARB/Warn combo, ended up with the LR UCA's to get it to align, it was close on stocks, but I felt that nearly three degrees out would just burn my tires off. UCA's are cheaper than a set of 33's. You will bounce like a Ping-Pong ball over rocks unless you really air-down. Much better with the extra weight.

As for replacing the starter, while mine was sick for a while after my swim, it has been working fine for the last few weeks. And yes, that little f-er is waaay back in there.

Just had my tires road force balanced. OK4wd charged me $103 for 5 tires, and had a great improvement. That V6 can really guzzle if you let it.

Ahhhh so my issue is I got to much lift upfront and now need the weight to bring it back to normal conditions... Good thing tax season is just around the corner I'll be ordering my Pelfreybuilt bumper, no winch yet... But that is on my wish list.

Lol it hasn't been THAT bad, But I'm trying to save up for a move to TN by the end of next year. The rattling now is coming from the front of the transmission, we just changed out the clutch and throw out bearing (the first one was seized) with an LCE Dual Comp... But something isn't right because there is an internal rattle. I took off the rubber boot and exposed the top of the transmission to come to that conclusion. My dad thinks the spring for the throw out bearing may have came loose when we were fighting with it to go back in. But it's going to a shop now lol

Let's see the list of damages from off roading since I've had my truck are...

    1. The Alternator from Wharton,
    2. Stock tire at RC
    3. The Same Alternator at Shamokin (Replaced under warranty by Del Toyota)
    4. Catalytic Converters (Replaced under warranty) Combination of all the mud
    5. Tire at Shamokin
    6. Rim at Shamokin
    7. LCA ("Bent") from Shamokin
    8. Camber Bolts (Seized)
    Combination of all the mud
    9. Throw out Bearing (Seized)
    Combination of all the mud

A few dents, and a tons of scratches.

Non off roading damage is from this past winter, scratched the front bumper when I spun into a wall on the highway, the snowplow threw the snow from the other side of the highway over onto my side so my lane disappeared on me and I had no where to go in 2wd. Then I blew out a tire in the snow on the highway on something metal concealed by the snow.

Other then those misfortunes it's been a great truck, and I've been able to build the truck up with each broken stock part and replace it with something better even the Camber Bolts to the grease able moog ones thanks to Texoma for looking out on that one.

Btw Ryan I'd check to see if the front of your transmission housing is open. I'd also check Christens since we all have manuals. The flywheel is exposed on mine up front which means all the mud splashes up into the throw out bearing which explains why mine seized up at 50k. I'm not sure about the 1st Gens but the 2nd Gens are probably exposed like mine since it's just a facelift and some interior changes for 2012. With that being said I think I'm going to drive like Homer and try to avoid as much mud as possible and play on rocks more. Need to invest in some skids.

Lol thanks everything is replaced now, just have to figure out what's making that rattle, I'm pretty sure I had one or two trips with no issues but this last one was no dice. As Homer said gotta pay to play I'm in no way giving up on off roading but have to call it quits for this season lol

Yea i was watching the video of when you dove into the Mud hole, it reminded me of the time I killed my Alternator that could have been the death blow to your starter. Remember these simple words from a wise off roader: "It's a truck not a boat." - ST3VE

I looked it up in my army manual and it seems that part of my training slipped my mind in Wharton. When crossing mud and water you want to ease into the crossing then once you drop your front tires down you want to gas it enough to give you momentum but not so much to cause a wake that swamps the front of the vehicle and continue on steady gas until you reach the exit point. I've been following that rule and haven't had my alternator give out or even show signs of being weak since. I also carry a spare with me and a second battery.
