Aww...jelly? The tacoma was a lot of fun to have and didn't miss a beat (could use moar powar...supercharger), and let it tear down some nice dirt roads. Not a lot of pics form that since my hands were full of steering wheel. :)

Oh man. Glad you liked the ice field parkway. I try to swing by there once a month at least. Good to hear what someone else outside Alberta (canada none the less) thinks of it. I do find it too resorty if I may. Best mountain ranges eve are through that park. A lot of hidden jems too.

    Thank you!!

My wife says I do it to torture myself, I say because its challenging...and just happy the images turned out ok. Not like I can pop back over for a do-over. There are a ton more in the can so to speak, 1400+ exposures...

Yea, I have been all over the states, thought I had pretty much seen it all after completing the PCT to Mt. Whitney as far as dramatic granite is concerned. I was just flabbergasted at the overpowering beauty that is the Canadian Rockies.

Really, pictures and words do not do it justice, it must be experienced. There isn't a camera sensor (or film) with enough resolution or a lens wide enough to even begin to capture the scale and imposing forces at work here.

Although I do declare shenanigans on the moose, elk and grizzly bear false advertising you see on all the roads warning you of their presence. I think its just a marketing ploy to get tourists North of the border. :)

PCT from Campo to Whitney? Awesome pics. That Crater Lake shot might be my favorite.

I couldn't agree more about the beauty.

The signs warn of presence haha. All the people and traffic usually scare them off and when they are around its unbelievable how many people try and feed or pet the wild life. Insane.. but if you do venture into the back country you will more than likely run into wolves and bears. Trust me haha.

Again, glad you found it as breath taking as I do.

Have you done the Wonderland Trail? I am planning to do JMT in next couple years. Don't have the bankroll or time to thru the PCT, so JMT is next best. I will be a Triple Crowner in the next life, though

Would LOVE to do that trail, esp in August to get all the wildflowers. It was Muir's cherished spots, and that is saying something. He got around...

Coincidentally, while we were up at Paradise, this guy comes around the corner, loaded down with full mountaineering gear, slathered in zinc and looking completely gassed. Asked if was alright and I could help him with his pack. He just asked in a very thick German accent which way to the inn, and that he was just getting back in. Which prompted me to ask "How far up did you go up?" He said "All the way..." Took a few seconds for it to register, he summited!!! Told him congratulations and pointed him towards the inn. What a treat, and was so green with envy.

JMT through hike is on the bucket list. Have a good friend that is leaving Wednesday to start on Friday from the North. He and his wife (newlyweds, her first big backpacking trip) are doing it, and hopefully won't be the end of their relationship. heh That trail is demanding and getting behind schedule is brutal to make up.

My buddy just did Whitney summit and Glacier and Yellowstone in the same trip. The pica from the peak are unbelievably gorgeous. He said it was the hardest hike he'd done. I believe they camped.around 8600 ft and peakbagged starting at 5am and returned from the summit at 7pm. 30 minutes at the top. Said one section had 99 switchbacks? What a thigh burner.

We are planning to do the TRT next summer, will be our first thru hike.

Muir is the man, one day I'll spend time on the Wonderland. One of the most beautiful hikes I have seen.
