That's it. It pisses me off when people have no respect for someone who is going to risk their life to be there to protect or save theirs. I am paying $3500 out of my own pocket, and giving 5 months of 11 hour days to become an accredited LEO, cause the only interest I have is helping and protecting people.

If you're not talking about Public safety, then it's fine. You made a blanket statement about anybody in uniform, which I took as LEOs, Firefighters, and Miltary personnel.

congratulations, you may be one of the good ones. I wasn't specifically talking about law enforcement just making a joke, but while were on the subject there are a shit load of bad cops. I show cops respect because I want respect shown back to me but just because you (not talking about you specifically just cops in general) have a shiny badge doesn't make you better than me. If you treat me like a person and are not a dick, then I treat you back the same way. -end of rant. Not trying to step on toes so calm down there sparky. Just having some fun.

I'm not saying anybody is better then anybody. But there's another side the public doesn't understand, and that's the fact of what an officer sees day to day, and how in today's society he can't be complacent. Once he is, that's when something happens. Him being an "asshole" on a traffic stop and issuing a ticket may be because he had to scrape the remains of a dead child off the road from a speed related accident

That's well and good. However, there's a fair percentage of people in law enforcement who are
    corrupt
    corruptible
    dishonest
    bullies
    jerks
    racists

or some combination of the above. Those people are pigs. Not everybody is wearing a uniform to do good. That may be why they put it on, but it's not necessarily why they keep wearing it.
I've had the good fortune to mostly deal with the better members of law enforcement, but I'd had my share of run-ins with the less pleasant members too.

And if you're going to wear the uniform of a peace officer, you're going to have to develop a thicker skin about what people think of you/your profession, because there's a LOT of people out there who just plain don't like cops.

I figured as much, so no hard feelings or anything, but a word of advice. When your in uniform a lot of people are going to treat you like shit. You will see the scum of the earth over and over and over again. Just remember that you don't know who your dealing with. You don't know where they have come from or what they have been through, so while you may be trying to do the right thing, that might not have been there previous experience. You won't be a good cop if you go all eggroll on someone cause they say something disrespectful to you or about cops. I'm sure your well aware, but when you put on that badge, you need to have the patience to deal with that shit and not lose your cool.

And if you research police misconduct statics, and actually find truthful stats. You will find there are around 1500 reports a year, which is about .15 of the police force in the us. Multiply that by 100 that may go unnoticed or unreported, and you're still only at 1.5% of the total police force in the US.

I'm not going to debate on how many bad cops there are. it doesn't matter. If there were only one it would be too much. I get that cops go through a lot and so I keep that in mind. But in my home town a homeless man was beaten until he was brain dead by 12 officers. Two were tried of manslaughter and found not guilty due to a technicality. I'm just saying if you wear the uniform, do it with some honor. again I don't know you or how you will be as a cop and not all cops are bad, but not all cops are good either. now can we please change the subject back to nipples and what ever weird shit you freak teens are into these days.

anyone light themselves on fire lately?
